Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Mme Lucia Mayer, le jeudi 23 février 2017 au Manoir North Centennial à l'âge de 93 ans. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses trois enfants: Diane Fortin (Yvan) de Campbell River, C.B., Walter Lord Charest, (Jacinthe) de Niagara Falls, Ontario et Bruce Charest (Vickie) de Winnipeg, Manitoba, sept petits-enfants: Pierre, Paul et Michelle Fortin, Julien et Viviane Lord Charest (Chris Quesnel), Madison et Lauren Charest ainsi que deux arrière-petits-enfants; Rebecca et Tyler (Diane). Elle fut prédécédée par son époux, Roland Mayer ainsi que trois sœurs et cinq frères. Parents et amis sont invités à se joindre à nous au Salon Funéraire Guenette le mardi 28 février de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h. Un service funéraire aura lieu le mercredi 1 mars à 15h00 à la Salle du Royaume des Témoins de Jéhovah. La famille aimerait remercier le personnel du Manoir North Centennial, et les bénévoles pour les soins prodigués à Mme Mayer, leur empathie et leur appui lors de son séjour au Manoir. La famille en est très reconnaissante.

Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the North Centennial Manor in Kapuskasing, Ontario at the age of 93. Born on May 2, 1923 in Fauquier, Ontario, she was the last remaining survivor of a family of three sisters and five brothers. Beloved wife of the late Roland Mayer (2004). Dearly loved mother of Diane Fortin (Yvan) of Campbell River, B.C., Walter Lord Charest, (Jacinthe) of Niagara Falls, Ontario and Bruce Charest (Vickie) of Winnipeg, Manitoba. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, Pierre, Paul and Michelle Fortin, Julien and Viviane Lord Charest (Chris Quesnel) and Madison and Lauren Charest as well as two great grandchildren, Rebecca and Tyler (Diane). She will be remembered for her honesty, her smile and her wit. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Guenette Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 28 between the hours of 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall. The family wishes to thank the North Centennial Manor staff and volunteers for their continued care, compassion, personal support and affection while she resided at the manor. This has meant so much to the family and we are forever grateful.
