Ida Clavelle passed away suddenly on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Health Sciences North. She is survived by her children; Ann, Debra (John), Marc (Chantal), her beloved grandchildren, Alèxe and Brendon, sister-in-law Monique, and her four nephews, Bill, Bob, Barry and Derek. She was predeceased by her brother Nicholas.
Born and raised in Hearst, Ontario, Ida married Claude and raised her family in Kapuskasing, Ontario before settling in North Bay upon her retirement. A life-long Montreal Canadiens fan, she loved watching her grandchildren play hockey. An enthusiastic Bridge and Scrabble player, she also impressed us all with her talent on the piano. She was active in her church and community, and lived life on her own terms until the very end. She was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to many.
Funeral services will be held at St. Brice’s Anglican Church in North Bay on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 2 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Teen Lunch Program at St. Brice’s church would be greatly appreciated.
