We regret to announce the death of John Nowak on June 2, 2017 at North Centennial Manor at the age of 70 years. He will be greatly missed by his mother, Anna Mateev; his cousin, Jeff Mateev of Kapuskasing; his lifelong friend, Ken Reed of Moonbeam; as well as his cousins in the United States: John Williams, Debbie Wesner, Ted Williams, and Didi Williams. He was predeceased by his father, Ed; and his step-father, Svilen “Moustache” Mateev.

John will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 7th at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. Interment of the ashes will follow at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Sensenbrenner Hospital or the North Centennial Manor would be greatly appreciated. ©
