Obituary for Barry Gouldsborough

We regret to announce the death of Barry Gouldsborough on September 2, 2017 at North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 69 years. In his spare time, Barry loved working in his yard, woodworking, and fishing. He was a devoted husband who loved spending time with his family, and especially playing with his grandchildren. Barry was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and had worked for Spruce Falls for 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Gaetanne; his children: Gordon (Carolin) of Oakville, Gary (Pauline Venema) of Hamilton, Steven Filion (Melanie) of Ottawa, Michael Filion (Julie) of Limoges, and Mireille Filion (François Clement) of Gatineau; seven grandchildren: Catie, Kayla, Jacob, Gabrielle, Jeremy, Noëmie, and Livia; as well as five siblings: Stan (Diane) of North Bay, Charlie (Denise) of Calgary, Bonnie Mahon (Les) of South River, Beatrice Jean (Claude) of Red Rock, and Glen (Lynn) of Guelph. He was predeceased by his first wife, Theresa; and his parents, Albert and Nora Gouldsborough.

Barry will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 7th at St. Patrick's Church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. Burial will follow at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. ©



Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Barry Gouldsborough le samedi 2 septembre 2017 au Centre régional de santé de North Bay à l'âge de 69 ans. Comme passe-temps, Barry aimait travailler dans sa cour, la menuiserie et la pêche. Il était un époux dévoué qui aimait passer du temps avec sa famille, surtout jouer avec ses petits-enfants. Il était un membre de la Légion royale canadienne et a travaillé pour la Spruce Falls pendant 40 ans.

Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Gaetanne; ses enfants: Gordon (Carolin) d’Oakville, Gary (Pauline Venema) de Hamilton, Steven Filion (Melanie) d’Ottawa, Michael Filion (Julie) de Limoges, et Mireille Filion (François Clement) de Gatineau; sept petits-enfants: Catie, Kayla, Jacob, Gabrielle, Jeremy, Noëmie, et Livia; ainsi que ses frères et sœurs: Stan (Diane) de North Bay, Charlie (Denise) de Calgary, Bonnie Mahon (Les) de South River, Beatrice Jean (Claude) de Red Rock, et Glen (Lynn) de Guelph. Barry reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette mercredi de 19h à 21h. La Célébration Eucharistique aura lieu le jeudi 7 septembre, en l'église St Patrick à 10h30 avec Père Hervé Sauvé comme célébrant. L’inhumation suivra au Cimetière de Kapuskasing. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à la Fondation des maladies du coeur. ©
