Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès d’Amable Lemieux le mardi 3 octobre 2017 à l'Hôpital Sensenbrenner à l'âge de 89 ans. Il aimait faire du bois de chauffage et jardiner. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Thérèse, ses enfants, Elizabeth Vachon (Jean-Claude), Fernand (Louise) d'Opasatika et Diane Bourgelas (Rémi) de Kapuskasing, ses frères et soeurs, Benoît de Kapuskasing, Bernard (Madeleine), Maurice de Thunder Bay, Alcide de South Porcupine, Cécile Deroy (Jean-Paul) de Montréal et Adèle Lemieux de St-Anne-des-Monts, ainsi que sept petits-enfants, Sylvie, Nathalie, Maxime, Francis, Martin, Sébastien et Marie-Soleil, trois arrière-petits-enfants, Trystan, Jade, Jacob et un quatrième qui arrivera prochainement. Il fut prédécédé par ses parents, Xavier et Elizabeth, un fils Daniel, deux frères Ernest et Godfroy. Amable Lemieux reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette le vendredi 6 octobre de 14h à16h et de 19h à 21h. La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le samedi 7 octobre en l'église St-Antoine-de-Padoue à 10h30 avec le Diacre Jean Beausoleil comme célébrant. L'inhumation suivra au cimetière d'Opasatika. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à l'Hôpital Sensenbrenner. ©

We regret to announce the death of Amable Lemieux on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 89. He enjoyed cutting firewood and gardening. He is survived by his wife Thérèse, his children, Elizabeth Vachon (Jean-Claude), Fernand (Louise) of Opasatika and Diane Bourgelas (Rémi) of Kapuskasing, his siblings, Benoît of Kapuskasing, Bernard (Madeleine), Maurice of Thunder Bay, Alcide of South Porcupine, Cécile Deroy (Jean-Paul) of Montreal and Adèle Lemieux of St-Anne-des-Monts, as well as seven grandchildren, Sylvie, Nathalie, Maxime, Francis, Martin, Sébastien and Marie-Soleil, three great-grandchildren, Trystan, Jade, Jacob and a fourth arriving in November. He was predeceased by his parents, Xavier and Elizabeth, one son, Daniel, two brothers, Ernest and Godfroy. Amable Lemieux will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Friday, October 6 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 7th at St-Antoine-de-Padoue church at 10:30 a.m. with Deacon Jean Beausoleil officiating. Burial to follow at the Opasatika cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Sensenbrenner Hospital would be greatly appreciated. ©
