With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Darin Boucher on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Sensenbrenner Hospital, Kapuskasing, at the age of 53. A graduate of Ryerson University in 1988 with a BA in Business Administration, he received his CGA in 1995, his CPA in 2014 and was a Senior Accountant with Collins Barrow. He was a dedicated member of the Kapuskasing Rotary Club and a Past President (2014 – 2015), and will be inducted as a Paul Harris Fellow in November, 2017. A member of the executive for the Liberal Party (Algoma-Manitoulin riding), Darin was an avid golfer, as well as a passionate Montreal Canadiens and Formula One fan. He enjoyed travelling and attending concerts. He is survived by his loving wife Nichole, his step-daughter, Angie Gignac (Chris) of Kapuskasing, his parents, Sheila and James Boucher of Kapuskasing, his siblings, Todd of Kapuskasing, Shannon Boucher (Claude Chevalier) of Val Rita and Jamie (Marietta) of Toronto, two grandchildren, Morgan and Payton, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Darin Boucher will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Friday, October 13th from 2 - 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 14th at St. Patrick's church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Rotary International would be greatly appreciated.

C’est avec un coeur lourd que nous annonçons le décès hâtif de Darin Boucher le vendredi 6 octobre 2017 à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner de Kapuskasing, à l’âge de 53 ans. Diplômé de l’université Ryerson en 1988 avec un B.A. en Administration des affaires, il a obtenu sa désignation de CGA (comptable général accrédité) en 1995, sa désignation de CPA (comptable professionnel agréé) en 2014, et occupait le poste de Comptable principal au sein de la firme Collins Barrow. Il était un membre dévoué du Club Rotary de Kapuskasing et Président sortant (2014 – 2015). Il sera intronisé à titre d’Associé Paul Harris en novembre 2017. Membre du comité exécutif du Parti Libéral (circonscription Algoma-Manitoulin), Darin était un joueur avide de golf, ainsi qu’un passionné des Canadiens de Montréal et des courses de Formule un. Il aimait voyager et assister à des concerts. Il laisse pour pleurer sa perte son épouse Nichole, sa belle-fille Angie Gignac (Chris) de Kapuskasing, ses parents Sheila et James Boucher de Kapuskasing, ses frères et sœur : Todd de Kapuskasing, Shannon Boucher (Claude Chevalier) de Val-Rita et Jamie (Marietta) de Toronto; deux petits-enfants, Morgan et Payton; de même que de nombreux neveux, nièces, cousins et cousines. Darin Boucher reposera au Salon funéraire Guenette le vendredi 13 octobre de 14h à 16h et 19h à 21h. Le service funéraire aura lieu le samedi 14 octobre à l’église St. Patrick à 10h30 avec le père Hervé Sauvé come célébrant. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante de dons au Club Rotary International.
