Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de René Dumais le mardi 2 janvier 2018 à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner à l'âge de 92 ans. René aimait la chasse, la pêche, le Club Uno et surtout voyager: il était camionneur jusqu’à l’âge de 81 ans. Il était un homme très religieux et était membre de 4e degré des Chevaliers de Colomb. René était aussi membre de l’AA, un groupe qui était très important pour lui.

Il laisse dans le deuil dix enfants: Gilles (Laura) de Thunder Bay, Claude (Shirley), Daniel (Hélène), Simone Pouliot (Rosaire) tous de Kapuskasing, Richard de Cambridge, Régent d'Ottawa, René Jr. de Hull, Michelle Campbell (Bill) de Schreiber, Lise Dumais de Gatineau et Carole Brown (Fred) de Fort Frances; ses soeurs: Lévicienne Leclair, Rose-Aimée Watters, Mariette Guillotte (Jos) et Georgette Dallaire (Yvon) tous de Kapuskasing; ainsi que vingt et un petits-enfants et vingt arrière-petits-enfants. Il fut prédécédé par son épouse, Simone; trois enfants: Reine Chmilewski, Gérald et Fernand; et ses frères, Gérard, Laurier, Alexandre, Raymond, Fernando, et Yvon Dumais.

René Dumais reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette dimanche de 14h à 16h et 19h à 21h. La Célébration Eucharistique aura lieu le lundi 8 janvier, à 10h30 en l'église Immaculée-Conception avec Père Gérald Chalifoux comme célébrant. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à l’Auxiliaire de l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner. ©



We regret to announce the death of René Dumais on January 2, 2018 at Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 92 years. René enjoyed hunting, fishing, the Uno Club and especially travelling: he was a truck driver until the age of 81 years. He was a deeply religious man and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. René was also a member of AA, a group that was very important to him.

He will be greatly missed by ten children: Gilles (Laura) of Thunder Bay, Claude (Shirley), Daniel (Hélène), Simone Pouliot (Rosaire) all of Kapuskasing, Richard of Cambridge, Régent of Ottawa, René Jr. of Hull, Michelle Campbell (Bill) of Schreiber, Lise Dumais of Gatineau and Carole Brown (Fred) of Fort Frances; his sisters: Lévicienne Leclair, Rose-Aimée Watters, Mariette Guillotte (Jos) and Georgette Dallaire (Yvon) all of Kapuskasing; as well as twenty-one grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Simone; three children: Reine Chmilewski, Gérald and Fernand; and his brothers: Gérard, Laurier, Alexandre, Raymond, Fernando and Yvon Dumais.

René Dumais will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 8th at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculée-Conception church with Father Gérald Chalifoux officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Sensenbrenner Hospital Auxiliary would be greatly appreciated. ©
