Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Norval Godard le vendredi 6 avril 2018 à l'âge de 78 ans. Il aimait passer du temps à l'atelier de Cité des Jeunes où il bâtissait des cabanes à pêche et fabriquait des lampes et tables avec des panaches d'orignaux et troncs d'arbres. Il fut membre de La Forge, un amateur de la chasse et pêche et aimait passer du temps à sa cabine au Lac Griffin. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Carole, ses enfants, Paul (Guylaine), Denis (Brenda) et Louise Godard de Kapuskasing, ses frères et sœur, Aurel (Valerie) de Kapuskasing, Daniel (Christine) de Nepean et Anne Godard de Barrie, deux belles-sœurs, Gale Godard (Norm Martin) de Moonbeam et Pauline Brennan de Gatineau, un beau-frère, André Senécal (Viiga) de Colombie-Britanique, ainsi que trois petits-enfants, Pierre, Eric et Michelle. Il fut prédécédé par ses parents, Diane et Gérard, un frère, Régent. La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le vendredi 13 avril en l'église Immaculée-Conception à 11h00 avec le Père Gérald Chalifoux comme célébrant. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons l’œuvre de bienfaisance de votre choix. ©

We regret to announce the death of Norval Godard on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the age of 78 years. He enjoyed spending time at the Cité des Jeunes workshop where he helped build fish huts and fabricated lamps and tables with moose horns and tree stumps. He was a member of La Forge, an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his cabin on Griffin Lake. He is survived by his wife, Carole, his children, Paul (Guylaine), Denis (Brenda) and Louise Godard of Kapuskasing, his siblings, Anne Godard of Barrie, Aurel (Valerie) of Kapuskasing and Daniel (Christine) of Nepean, two sisters-in-law, Gale Godard (Norm Martin) of Moonbeam and Pauline Brennan of Gatineau, one brother-in-law, André Senécal (Viiga) of British Columbia, as well as three grandchildren, Pierre, Eric and Michelle. He was predeceased by his parents, Diane and Gérard, and one brother Régent. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 13th at Immaculée-Conception church at 11:00 a.m. with Father Gérald Chalifoux officiating.
