Albert passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday, March 14 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Lou; his parents Jim and Kay Burns and one brother, Murray Burns. Albert is survived by his children: Jim (Sonja), Stephen (Doreen), Tom, Leslie (Louis), Dana and Sara (Keith). He was "Gramps" to Callum Burns; Emily (Sam), Taylor, Adam and William Sigouin; Sam, Jacob and Harry Barber; Hayden, Grace and Maeve Nichol.

Dad will be best remembered for his love of hockey, golf and Murder She Wrote. He enjoyed many rounds of golf as a member of the Kapuskasing Golf Club and loved to practice his golf swing in the backyard.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the staff of Sensenbrenner Hospital for their compassion and care.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church with Father Sebastien Groleau officiating. In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations to Sensenbrenner Hospital would be greatly appreciated.




Albert est décédé paisiblement après une brève maladie le samedi 14 mars à l’âge de 83 ans. Il fut prédécédé par son épouse, Mary-Lou; ses parents, Jim et Kay Burns; et un frère, Murray Burns. Albert est survécu par ses enfants : Jim (Sonja), Stephen (Doreen), Tom, Leslie (Louis), Dana et Sara (Keith). Il était le “Gramps” à Callum Burns; Emily (Sam), Taylor, Adam et William Sigouin, Sam, Jacob et Harry Barber, ainsi que Hayden, Grace et Maeve Nichol.

On se souviendra de Papa pour son amour du hockey, le golf, et « Murder She Wrote ». Il a joué plusieurs rondes de golf comme membre du Club de Golf de Kapuskasing et adorait pratiquer son élan de golf dans sa cour. Nous aimerions exprimer notre sincère gratitude aux employés de l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner pour leur compassion et leurs soins.

Un service funéraire aura lieu le mardi 17 mars 2020 à 10h30 en l’église St-Patrick avec Père Sébastien Groleau comme célébrant. Comme témoignage de sympathie, les dons à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner seraient grandement appréciés.
