We regret to announce the death of Alden Benedetti on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 90. He was a World War 2 Veteran, serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He retired from Spruce Falls after 39 years of service as a millwright. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 85 and the Golden Age Club, a volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society. He enjoyed skiing, skating and dancing. Heis survived by his wife of 59 years Aline, his children, Paul (Jenny) of Toronto, Gino (Peg) of Whitby and Patti Wilson (Colin) of Kingston, his siblings, Florence Ricci of North Bay and Levio (Alice) of Cochrane, as well as his grandchildren, Chelsea, Dylan and Lauren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Mary Bernard, Florien, John and Constantino. Alden Benedetti will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Friday, May 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 14th in the Chapel of the Guenette Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 85 would be greatly appreciated. ©
