Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès d’Alvida Thomas à l'âge de 91 ans, le lundi 3 janvier 2022 au Manoir North Centennial. Alvida aimait jouer aux quilles, aux cartes et aux rondelles, en plus d’être amateur de la pêche, surtout. Il était un raconteur qui aimait partager des histoires des années passées. Il fut membre des Chevaliers de Colomb pendant de nombreuses années.
Alvida laisse dans le deuil son aimante épouse depuis 67 ans, Adéla; ses enfants : Line Guindon (Daniel), Bruno (Yolaine), Huguette Thomas-Soblesky (Michael), Corine et Benoit (Jocelyne); ses petits-enfants : Renée (Marc), Lucie, Keith (Nancy), Geneviève, Louis-Philippe (Harley), Patrick et Pierre; ses arrière-petits-enfants : Jayden, Jean-Philippe, Karine, Samuel, Abigail, Joshua et Ethan; ainsi qu’un frère, Philippe et une sœur, Thérèse. Il fut prédécédé par ses frères et sa sœur : Aldéric, Clément et Agnès; ainsi que plusieurs demi-frères et demi-sœurs: Octavie, Adèle, Maurice, Exibé, Azilda, Basile de la famille Thomas et Cyrénus, Clarisse, Judith, Paul, Alvina, Eugénie, Prime de la famille Plourde.
La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le samedi 7 mai à 14h00 en l'église Immaculée-Conception avec le Père Rémi Lessard comme célébrant. Pour assister au service funéraire en diffusion direct, veuillez cliquer ici. L'inhumation suivra au cimetière de Val-Rita. La famille sera très reconnaissante de dons au Manoir North Centennial ou la Société Alzheimer comme témoignage de sympathie. ©
We regret to announce the death of Alvida Thomas at the age of 91 years, on Monday, January 3, 2022, at North Centennial Manor. Alvida enjoyed bowling, playing cards, playing Texas horseshoes, and loved to fish, especially. He was a storyteller who enjoyed sharing stories of the past. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus for many years.
Alvida leaves in mourning his loving wife of 67 years, Adéla; his children: Line Guindon (Daniel), Bruno (Yolaine), Huguette Thomas-Soblesky (Michael), Corine and Benoit (Jocelyne); his grandchildren: Renée (Marc), Lucie, Keith (Nancy), Geneviève, Louis-Philippe (Harley), Patrick and Pierre; his great-grandchildren: Jayden, Jean-Philippe, Karine, Samuel, Abigail, Joshua and Ethan; as well as one brother, Philippe; and one sister, Thérèse. He was predeceased by his siblings: Aldéric, Clément, and Agnès; and several half-brothers and half-sisters: Octavie, Adèle, Maurice, Exibé, Azilda, Basile from the Thomas and Cyrénus families, Clarisse, Judith, Paul, Alvina, Eugénie, Prime from the Plourde family.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Immaculée-Conception church with Father Rémi Lessard officiating. To attend the funeral service livestream, please click here.
