Obituary for André Bordeleau

It is at home, where he wanted to spend his final days, that our beloved father fell asleep for the last time. Surrounded by the love of his family, Dad now joins our mother Suzanne, who was waiting for him with open arms since her passing in August 1999. He leaves in profound sorrow his beloved daughters Adèle (Denis Leblanc), Josée (Steve Kelly) and Martine (Eric Setchell), as well as his beloved companion and guardian angel, Lorraine Tremblay. He leaves also a great heritage of love to his cherished grandchildren, Gilles, Maxime, Marie-André, Pierre-André, Camille, Patrick and Madelaine, as well as his brothers Jean-Marie (Madelaine) and Gabriel (Denise), his sister Françoise and his in-laws, Yvon and Anita Arseneault and Louis and Hélène Lessard. Dad worked many years in education, notably as Director of Education for the Kapuskasing Catholic School Board until his retirement in 1998. A father and grandfather known as a unifier, he shared with us his values, his openness to the world and his love of life. A wise man of infallible integrity and extraordinary generosity, we will always miss him. A mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception church this Saturday, December 7, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Animal Rescue of Kapuskasing, to recognize his tenderness towards all animals.
