Obituary for Anita Hodgins

We regret to announce the death of Anita Hodgins on November 6, 2018 at the North Centennial Manor at the age of 74 years. Anita was a passionate teacher who taught Grade 1 at DJPS, and it was there that she met and fell in love with a fellow teacher named Alex. In her spare time, Anita loved playing bingo, listening to country music, dressing up for Halloween, gardening and was a member of the Eastern Star Organization. Anita could be best described as a ray of sunshine. She had a sunny disposition, saw everything through rose coloured glasses, and spread her joy everywhere she went. She was a resident of the North Centennial Manor for many years, where the staff and residents had become her extended family – she loved them all and they loved her.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Shari wife of Stacey Miller of Keswick; and her sister: Patti Murphy of Toronto. She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband, Alex. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the MS Society of Canada or the North Centennial Manor would be greatly appreciated. ©
