Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès d’Armand Chainey à l’âge de 93 ans, le samedi 6 février 2021, au Foyer Extendicare Kapuskasing. Armand a retrouvé son épouse bien-aimée pendant 70 ans, Evelyne, qui l’a prédécédé deux semaines plus tôt. Dans les années quand il était en meilleure santé, Armand aimait nourrir les oiseaux et jardiner, ainsi que collectionner et réparer des montres. Il laisse pour pleurer sa perte ses enfants : Lise Audet (Denis), Claude, Eva Wiebe (Randy) de Kapuskasing, Lynn Chainey (Jacques Falardeau) de Montréal, Louis de Rouyn, Donald (Lorraine Lambert) de Thunder Bay et Carole Aubin (Yves) de Val-Rita; ainsi que vingt-deux petits-enfants et vingt-deux arrière-petits-enfants.
La célébration eucharistique pour Armand et Evelyne aura lieu le samedi 4 septembre à 10h30 en l'église Notre-Dame-des-Victoires avec Père Sébastien Groleau comme célébrant. La famille sera reconnaissante des dons au Refuge d’animaux de Kapuskasing ou au Fonds de loisirs des résidents du Foyer Extendicare, comme témoignage de sympathie. ©

Le nombre maximum permis à l’église Notre-Dame-des-Victoires est 120 personnes et aucun rassemblement n’est permis à l’extérieur. Toute personne présente doit porter un masque approprié en tout temps. Toute personne doit se laver les mains à l'aide d'un désinfectant pour les mains.
Toute personne doit observer les conseils sur la santé et la sécurité des autorités compétentes, y compris la distanciation physique de deux mètres pour les gens qui ne font pas partie d’un même ménage ou de leur cercle social établi.

We regret to announce the death of Armand Chainey, at the age of 93 years, on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Extendicare Kapuskasing. Armand has reunited with his beloved wife of 70 years, Evelyne, who passed away two weeks earlier. In the years when he was in better health, Armand enjoyed feeding the birds and gardening, as well as collecting and repairing watches. He leaves in mourning his children: Lise Audet (Denis), Claude, Eva Wiebe (Randy) of Kapuskasing, Lynn Chainey (Jacques Falardeau) of Montreal, Louis of Rouyn, Donald (Lorraine Lambert) of Thunder Bay and Carole Aubin (Yves) of Val-Rita; as well as twenty-two grand-children and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
The funeral service for Armand and Evelyne will be held on Saturday, September 4 at 10:30 a.m. at the Notre-Dame-des-Victoires church with Father Sébastien Groleau officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Animal Rescue of Kapuskasing or the Extendicare Kapuskasing Residents’ Fund would be greatly appreciated. ©

All persons wishing to attend the funeral must register their attendance with the funeral home, in advance. You may do so by using the online RSVP feature below, or by sending an email to staffgfh@outlook.com . If you are unable, you may call the funeral home during our regular business hours only, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
