C’est avec tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Carmelle Veilleux à l’âge de 64 ans, après une lutte courageuse contre le cancer, le samedi 24 juillet 2021, à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner. Elle était une grand-mère dévouée qui adorait passer du temps avec ses petits-enfants, et surtout les gâter. Carmelle était passionnée de la photographie également. Son talent pour la photographie a touché plusieurs familles de la région.
Elle laisse pour pleurer sa perte son époux, Gaëtan; ses enfants : Éric (Jenny Gervais) de Courtice, Annie (Peter Fraser) de Toronto, et Andrée Isaac (Philip) de Kapuskasing; ses petits-enfants : Cloé, Anabel, Zach, Mina, Declan, Laura, et Bethannie; sa mère, Gertrude Séguin de Kapuskasing; ainsi qu'une sœur, Christine Leclair (Gilles) d'Orléans; et un frère, Gérald Séguin de Kapuskasing. Elle fut prédécédée par son père, Fernand Séguin.
La Célébration Eucharistique aura lieu le vendredi 30 juillet, à 10h30, en l'église Immaculée-Conception, avec Père Sébastien Groleau comme célébrant. La famille sera très reconnaissante de dons à la Société canadienne du cancer comme témoignage de sympathie. ©

Toute personne doit observer les conseils sur la santé et la sécurité des autorités compétentes, y compris la distanciation physique de deux mètres pour les gens qui ne font pas partie d’un même ménage ou de leur cercle social établi.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Carmelle Veilleux at the age of 64 years, following a courageous battle against cancer, on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Sensenbrenner Hospital. She was a doting grandmother who loved to spend time with her grandchildren, and especially spoil them. Carmelle was also passionate about photography; her talent touched many families in the area.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Gaëtan; her children: Éric (Jenny Gervais) of Courtice, Annie (Peter Fraser) of Toronto, and Andrée Isaac (Philip) of Kapuskasing; her grandchildren: Cloé, Anabel, Zach, Mina, Declan, Laura, and Bethannie; her mother, Gertrude Séguin of Kapuskasing; as well as one sister, Christine Leclair (Gilles) of Orléans; and one brother, Gérald Séguin of Kapuskasing. She was predeceased by her father, Fernand Séguin.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 30th at 10:30 a.m., at the Immaculée-Conception church, with Father Sébastien Groleau officiating. The family would greatly appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society as expressions of sympathy. ©

All persons wishing to attend the funeral at the church must register their attendance with the funeral home, in advance. You may do so by using the online RSVP feature below, or by sending an email to staffgfh@outlook.com . If you are unable, you may call the funeral home during our regular business hours only, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The maximum number of people allowed at the Immaculée-Conception church is 140, and no gathering is permitted outside. Every person present must wear a suitable mask at all times. Visitors must also clean their hands with hand sanitizer.
Everyone must follow proper health and safety advice, including physical distancing of two metres for people who are not from the same household or their established social circle.
