Obituary for Carmen Marie Kowaluk

We regret to announce the death of Carmen Kowaluk on Thursday July 26, 2012 at the Sensenbrenner Hospital, Kapuskasing at the age of 78 years. She is survived by her husband: Morris Kowaluk of Kapuskasing; 4 sons: Michael of Sudbury, David of Orangeville, Kenny of Kapuskasing, Gary (Jocelyne) of Arnprior; 1 sister: Marcelle Voyer of Ottawa; 8 grandchildren: Kyle, Kurtis, Brian, Kaley, Merissa, Deryck, Caitlin, Yanick as well as 4 great grandchildren: Zachary and Brooklyn, Paige and Briar-Rose. She was predeceased by 1 sister: Germaine Lefebvre and 3 brothers: Gérard, Victorien and Joseph Levesque. She was a member of the Catholic Women's League and the Golden Age Club (Past president). She enjoyed playing cards and the family says she was Kap's current reigning bridge champion, an expert at crosswords puzzles, was responsible for bringing back lawn bowling and enjoyed her grandchildren with a passion. Carmen Kowaluk will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Tuesday July 30th 2012 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 1st 2012 at St. Patrick’s Church in Kapuskasing at 10:30 AM with officiating Father Gilles Gosselin. Cremation was held at the Hillcrest Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Sensenbrenner Hospital, Kapuskasing or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. ©
