C’est avec profonde tristesse que nous annonçons la mort prématurée de Carole Guindon, fille de Jacques et Rita Guindon d’Opasatika. Elle est décédée à l’âge de 65 ans, laissant dans le deuil son époux, Fern Paquette; ses filles: Josée Gendron (Dominique), Sara Virgo (Marc), et Sophie Champagne (Michel Carrière); ses belles-filles: Crystal Ward (Ryan), Paul Linton (Kim), et Diane Paquette-Moss (Glen); cinq frères: Jean-Louis de Longlac, Lionel d'Orléans, Normand de Harty, Paul, et Donald Guindon tous d'Opasatika; sept soeurs: Mariette Guindon de Beloeil, Réjeanne Picard de Laval, Louise Paradis d'Opasatika, Lise Guindon de Tumble Ridge, Alberta, Diane Guindon de Marathon, Francine Gratton de Hearst et Aline Guindon de Kapuskasing; ainsi que onze petits-enfants et trois arrière-petits-enfants. Carole avait un grand cœur et de grandes convictions spirituelles. Repose en paix Calou.

Carole Guindon reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette mardi de 14h à 16h et 19h à 21h. La Célébration Eucharistique aura lieu le mercredi 18 janvier, en l'église Immaculée-Conception à 10:30 a.m. avec Père Gérald Chalifoux comme célébrant. L’inhumation printanière aura lieu au Cimetière d’Opasatika. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à l’Hôpital de Rainy River (Riverside Foundation for Health Care). ©


It is with profound sadness we announce the death of Carole Guindon, daughter of Jacques and Rita Guindon of Opasatika. She passed away at the age of 65 years, and will be greatly missed by her husband, Fern Paquette; her daughters: Josée Gendron (Dominique), Sara Virgo (Marc), and Sophie Champagne (Michel Carrière); her step-daughters: Crystal Ward (Ryan), Paul Linton (Kim), and Diane Paquette-Moss (Glen); five brothers: Jean-Louis of Longlac, Lionel of Orléans, Normand of Harty, Paul, and Donald Guindon all of Opasatika; seven sisters: Mariette Guindon of Beloeil, Réjeanne Picard of Laval, Louise Paradis of Opasatika, Lise Guindon of Tumble Ridge, Alberta, Diane Guindon of Marathon, Francine Gratton of Hearst and Aline Guindon of Kapuskasing; as well as eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Carole was very kind hearted and a close relationship with God. Rest in peace Calou.

Carole will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 18th at Immaculée-Conception church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Gérald Chalifoux officiating. Spring burial will be held at the Opasatika Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Rainy River Hospital (Riverside Foundation for Health Care) would be greatly appreciated. ©
