We regret to announce the death of Cécile Mayer on Wednesday, August 24th at the North Centennial Manor at the age of 92. She is survived by her husband, Hector, six children, Ronald Trottier companion of Élise, Réal Trottier husband of Thérèse, Claude Mayer husband of Susan, Gabie Paasila all of Kapuskasing, Gracia Harper companion of Émile Larose of Nellie Lake and Linda Mayer companion of Gérald Beaulieu of Gatineau, one sister, Albertine Benson of Kapuskasing, as well as 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Léo Trottier, one son, Maurice Mayer, two sisters, Marie-Jeanne Frenette and Berthe Demeule, one son-in-lawn, Pentti Paasila and 1 grandson Dan Paasila. Cécile Mayer will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7 - 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 27th at the Notre Dame des Victoires church at 2:00 p.m. with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. Burial to follow at the Kapuskasing cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the North Centennial Manor would be greatly appreciated.
