Obituary for / Nécrologie pour Claire Simpson (Pye)
We regret to announce the death of Claire Simpson, at the age of 90 years, on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at North Centennial Manor, with her loving family by her side. Claire’s greatest joy was being surrounded by her family. She enjoyed baking, playing cards and lawn bowling.
Claire was an active member of the Catholic Women's League, the Golden Age Club and Royal Canadian Legion. She also served on the Board of the North Centennial Manor and Kapuskasing District Association for Community Living.
Claire is survived by her children: Bryan “Punch” Pye (Nancy) of Moonbeam, Debbie Ottewell (John) of Brantford, Cindy Reasbeck (Wayne) of Moonbeam and Bruce Pye of Thunder Bay; loving mémère of Kimberly and Andrew Ottewell, Bryan James and Jennifer Pye, Shannon and Sheldon Reasbeck, and Kristen Pye; her great-grandchildren: Lainie, Addison, Ellie, Adelaide, Charlotte, Jack, Jesse, Wes, Brett, Alexa, Julia, Félix, Caleb, Abel, Tatum, Kason and Braxton.
Claire was predeceased by her spouses: Ernie Pye and Bill Simpson; one grandson, Bradley; seven siblings: Pauline Boucher, Fernand Bisson, Raymond Bisson, Gerry Bisson, Réjeanne Bisson and Ronald Bisson.
Claire will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Monday, October 10, 2022, from 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Patrick's church, with Father John Okoh officiating. The family would greatly appreciate donations to North Centennial Manor or the Alzheimer Society as expressions of sympathy©
Nous regrettons d’annoncer le décès de Claire Simpson, à l’âge de 90 ans, le mercredi 5 octobre 2022, au Manoir North Centennial, avec sa famille aimante à ses côtés. Claire ressentait la plus grande joie lorsqu’elle était entourée de sa famille. Elle prenait plaisir dans la cuisson, jouer aux cartes et jouer aux boules sur pelouse.
Claire était membre active de la Catholic Women's League, le Club d’âge d’or et la Légion royale canadienne. Elle a servi également au sein du Conseil d’administration du Manoir North Centennial et l’Association pour l’intégration communautaire du Nord-Est.
Claire laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Bryan “Punch” Pye (Nancy) de Moonbeam, Debbie Ottewell (John) de Brantford, Cindy Reasbeck (Wayne) de Moonbeam et Bruce Pye de Thunder Bay; mémère aimante de Kimberly et Andrew Ottewell, Bryan James et Jennifer Pye, Shannon et Sheldon Reasbeck, et Kristen Pye; ses arrière-petits-enfants : Lainie, Addison, Ellie, Adelaide, Charlotte, Jack, Jesse, Wes, Brett, Alexa, Julia, Félix, Caleb, Abel, Tatum, Kason et Braxton.

Claire reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette le lundi 10 octobre 2022, de 19h00 à 21h00. Le service funéraire aura lieu le mardi 11 octobre 2022, à 10h30, en l’église St-Patrick, avec le Père John Okoh comme officiant.
