It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald St-Onge on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Health Sciences North. He is survived by his beloved spouse Lise Raymond, one son, Jeff (Rena) of Vancouver, one brother, Ken (Kathy) of Oshawa, sister-in-law, Sandra of Kapuskasing as well as two grandchildren, Carter and Wyatt. He was predeceased by his parents, Dolores and Claude, two brothers, Woody and Bob. Don was employed at Spruce Falls until his retirement. He had a tender heart and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was a hard worker and always had a project going. He showed courage, strength and determination throughout his life and illness. He loved life and enjoyed every minute of it. He had many hobbies; he enjoyed walking, golfing and travelling. Visitation will be held at the Guenette Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 17th from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Nativité-de Marie church in Moonbeam with Father Fernand Villeneuve officiating. Since Don had a great love for children, he has requested that memorial donations be made to the Northern Corridor Children’s Fund.

C’est avec grande tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de Donald St-Onge le mercredi 11 juin à l’Hôpital Horizon Santé Nord. Il laisse pour pleurer sa perte son épouse Lise, un fils Jeff (Rena) de Vancouver, un frère, Ken (Kathy) d’Oshawa, une belle-sœur, Sandra de Kapuskasing, ainsi que deux petits-fils, Carter et Wyatt. Il fut prédécédé par ses parents, Claude et Dolores, deux frères, Woody et Bob. Donald a travaillé à la Spruce Falls jusqu'à sa retraite. Don avait un grand cœur et était prêt à aider tout le monde. Pendant sa vie et sa maladie, Don a fait preuve de courage, de bon moral et d’une force extraordinaire. Il aimait la vie et avait plusieurs passe-temps tels la marche, le golf et surtout les voyages. La famille accueillera parents et amis le mardi 17 juin de 19h à 21h au Salon Funéraire Guenette. La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le mercredi 18 à 10h30 en l’église Nativité-de-Marie de Moonbeam avec le Père Fernand Villeneuve comme célébrant. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à la Fondation des enfants du corridor du Nord puisque Don avait un grand amour pour les enfants.
