We regret to announce the death of Eric Libby on August 7, 2014 in Iroquois Falls at the age of 62 years. He is survived by his wife Sandra Libby of Kapuskasing; 1 son Travis (Rhonda) of Calgary; 1 daughter: Tanis Gallupe (Matt) of Kingston; 3 sisters: Donna Griffin-Smith ( Don) of Huntsville, Morell Branton (Paul) of Manilla, Ontario, Dellas Rodinsky (Gene) of Brantford; 1 brother Doug (Louise) of Oshawa; 8 grandchildren: Emma, Nick, Gavin, Erica, Drew, Cohen, Oliver, Isla; his extended family: Diane Prokopick of Kapuskasing, Dan Prokopick(Jane) of Stratford, Susan deMontigny (Danny) of Kapuskasing,Andrew Prokopick of Kapuskasing, Sharon Oehlrich (Mike) of North Bay,Shellie Lincez (Denis) of Kapuskasing and many nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his son Tyler Libby; his parents: Richard and Marguerite Libby; his parents-in-law: John and Mabel Prokopick and his brothers-in-law: Ed and Gary Prokopick. He was an avid bicyclist along with selling and repairing them, camping, gardening, swimming, kayaking, photography, playing music on his guitar and piano. He loved animals and will be sadly missed by Winston the cat and Gizmo the dog. He was of the Royal Canadian Legion and a member of the executive. He was a past member of the Kinsmen Club of Kapuskasing. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Royal Canadian Legion on Friday, August 15th beginning at 12:30 p.m. A celebration of Eric's life will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Chaplain Debbie Stenabaugh officiating. Cremation was held at the Hillcrest Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

Il fut prédécédé par son fils Tyler Libby et ses parents: Richard et Marguerite Libby; ses beaux-parents: Ed John et Mabel Prokopick et ses beaux-frères: Ed et Gary Prokopick. Il aimait faire de la bicyclette ainsi que les vendre et les réparer, le camping, jardiner, la nage, la photographie, jouer la guitar et le piano et faire des randonnées en kayak. Il aimait surtout les animaux et sera manqué par son chat Winston et son chien Gizmo. Il était membre de la Légion royal canadienne et était un membre de l’exécutif, et ancien membre du Club Kinsmen de Kapuskasing. Parents et amies son invités au Légion royal canadienne le vendredi 15 août à partir de 12h30 suivit par la célébration à 13h30. L'incinération a eu lieu au crématoire Hillcrest. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à la Fondation des maladies du coeur ou à une oeuvre de charité de votre choix.
