Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Fernand Therrien à l’âge de 92 ans, le samedi 25 septembre 2021, au Manoir North Centennial de Kapuskasing.
Fernand laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Raymond de Hamilton, Gaëtan (France Paradis) d’Embrun, Pauline (Judy Leblanc) de Sudbury, Danielle (Normand Jean) de Kapuskasing, Léo (Christine McInnes) de Sudbury, Pierre (Béatrice) de Kapuskasing, André (Linda Lallier) d’Opasatika et Jacques (Lucy Ramirez) de Toronto; ainsi que quatorze petits-enfants : Natalie, Elyse, Nicholas, Patrick, Éric, Zoé, Alexandra, Emma, Marc-André, Sophie-Anne, Anabel, Miguel, Michael et Christine; et neuf arrière-petits-enfants : Liam, Lexi, Éloïse, Charlie, Ella, Olivia, Madelaine, Evalie et Chloé. Il fut prédécédé par son épouse bien-aimée, Murielle; ses parents, Hector et Melvina; ses sœurs Dérilda et Yvette; et ses frères : Georges, Ernest et Conrad.
Fernand a travaillé pendant plus de 40 ans pour la compagnie Spruce Falls de Kapuskasing, conduisant les machines de camp en camp, sans jamais manquer une journée de travail. Comme passe-temps, il aimait bretter dans son garage, côtoyer ses amis au village et regarder les matchs de hockey des Canadiens à la télévision.
La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le vendredi 1 octobre à 11h en l’église St-Antoine-de-Padoue à Opasatika, avec le diacre Jean Beausoleil comme célébrant. Nous tenons à remercier sincèrement tout le personnel du Manoir North Centennial de Kapuskasing pour les bons soins prodigués à notre père. La famille sera très reconnaissante des dons au Club de la bonne humeur d’Opasatika ou au Manoir North Centennial de Kapuskasing comme témoignage de sympathie.

Le nombre maximum permis à l’église St-Antoine-de-Padoue est 72 personnes et aucun rassemblement n’est permis à l’extérieur. Toute personne présente doit porter un masque approprié en tout temps. Toute personne doit se laver les mains à l'aide d'un désinfectant pour les mains.
Toute personne doit observer les conseils sur la santé et la sécurité des autorités compétentes, y compris la distanciation physique de deux mètres pour les gens qui ne font pas partie d’un même ménage ou de leur cercle social établi.

We regret to announce the death of Fernand Therrien at the age of 92 years, on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at North Centennial Manor in Kapuskasing.
Fernand leaves in mourning his children: Raymond of Hamilton, Gaëtan (France Paradis) of Embrun, Pauline (Judy Leblanc) of Sudbury, Danielle (Normand Jean) of Kapuskasing, Léo (Christine McInnes) of Sudbury, Pierre (Béatrice) of Kapuskasing, André (Linda Lallier) of Opasatika and Jacques (Lucy Ramirez) of Toronto; as well as fourteen grandchildren: Natalie, Elyse, Nicholas, Patrick, Éric, Zoé, Alexandra, Emma, Marc-André, Sophie-Anne, Anabel, Miguel, Michael and Christine; and nine great- grandchildren: Liam, Lexi, Éloïse, Charlie, Ella, Olivia, Madelaine, Evalie and Chloé. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Murielle; his parents, Hector and Melvina; his sisters Dérilda and Yvette; as well as his brothers: Georges, Ernest and Conrad.
Fernand worked for over 40 years for the Spruce Falls company in Kapuskasing, driving machinery from camp to camp, never missing a day's work. As hobbies, he enjoyed doing odd jobs in his garage, hang out with his friends in the village, and watch the Canadiens playing hockey on television.
The Eucharistic celebration will take place on Friday, October 1, at 11 a.m. at St-Antoine-de-Padoue church in Opasatika, with deacon Jean Beausoleil as celebrant. We would like to sincerely thank all the staff at North Centennial Manor in Kapuskasing for the excellent care provided to our father. The family would greatly appreciate donations to the Club de la bonne humeur of Opasatika or North Centennial Manor in Kapuskasing as expressions of sympathy.

The maximum number of people allowed at the St-Antoine-de-Padoue church is 72 , and no gathering is permitted outside. Every person present must wear a suitable mask at all times. Visitors must also clean their hands with hand sanitizer.
Everyone must follow proper health and safety advice, including physical distancing of two metres for people who are not from the same household or their established social circle.
