Obituary for George Allen "Abba" Harrison

George Allen "Abba"  Harrison
We regret to announce the death of George “Abba” Harrison on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 92. He was a WWII veteran, a world traveler, member of the Masonic Lodge, the Shriners and the Royal Canadian Legion. He is survived by his children, George (Louise) of Englehart and Linda Roy (Walter Zwaryczuk) of Timmins, his special friend Lucie Dubé of Kapuskasing, his siblings, Margaret Heggart of Calgary, Barbara Vacheress of Brandon and Manford of Kapuskasing, as well as seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Aline. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 85 on Thursday, November 22, between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. with a service of remembrance at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Anne Stenabaugh officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. ©

Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de George « Abba » Harrison le dimanche 18 novembre à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner à l'âge de 92 ans. Il fut vétéran de la Deuxième Guerre mondiale. Il a voyagé le monde et fut membre du Masonic Lodge, les Shriners et la Légion. Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants, George (Louise) d’Englehart et Linda Roy (Walter Zwaryczuk) de Timmins, son amie, Lucie Dubé de Kapuskasing; ses soeurs et son frère, Margaret Heggart de Calgary, Barbara Vacheress de Brandon et Manford de Kapuskasing, ainsi que sept petits-enfants, neuf arrière-petits-enfants ainsi que des neveux et nièces. Il fut prédécédé par son épouse Aline. Parents et amis sont invités à la Légion, le jeudi 22 novembre à compter de 13h. Un service suivra à14h00 avec Diacre Anne Stenabaugh comme célébrante. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à la Société canadienne du cancer. ©
