Obituary for / Nécrologie pour Gilbert Clavelle
We regret to announce the passing of Gilbert Clavelle at the age of 90, on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Sensenbrenner Hospital. In his spare time, Gilbert greatly enjoyed spending time at his cottage and going for coffee at McDonald's every morning with his friends. He also enjoyed spending time with and taking care of his dogs, Cleo and Clancy.
Gilbert will be greatly missed by his brother, Claude (Lorraine) of Huntsville; four nieces: Christine Kelly-Godard, Joanne Kelly-Alford, Debbie Clavelle, and Anne Clavelle; two nephews: Marc Clavelle, and Michael Kelly; and his close friends: Lee and Michelle Gizuk. He was predeceased by his wife, Catherine "Kaye" (née Kelly); his parents: Joseph and Leda; and one brother: Gérald.
Gilbert will be resting at Guenette Funeral Home on Thursday, June 22, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Father Sébastien Groleau officiating. The family would greatly appreciate donations to the North Centennial Manor or the Canadian Cancer Society as expressions of sympathy. ©

Comme passe-temps, Gilbert aimait beaucoup passer du temps à son chalet et aller prendre un café chaque matin avec ses amis au McDonald’s. Il aimait aussi passer du temps avec ses chiens, Cleo and Clancy, et veiller à leurs soins.
Gilbert manquera grandement à son frère, Claude (Lorraine) de Huntsville; quatre nièces : Christine Kelly-Godard, Joanne Kelly-Alford, Debbie Clavelle et Anne Clavelle; deux neveux : Marc Clavelle et Michael Kelly; et à ses amis proches : Lee et Michelle Gizuk. Il fut prédécédé par son épouse, Catherine « Kaye » (née Kelly); ses parents : Joseph et Leda; ainsi qu’un frère, Gérald.
Gilbert Clavelle reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette le jeudi 22 juin, à partir de 10 h. Le service funéraire suivra à 11 h, avec comme célébrant le Père Sébastien Groleau. La famille sera très reconnaissante de vos dons au Manoir North Centennial ou à la Société canadienne du cancer comme témoignage de sympathie. ©
