Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Gilbert Doucet à l'âge de 85 ans, le dimanche 20 septembre 2020 à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner. Il fut membre des Chevaliers de Colomb et un grand partisan des Canadiens de Montréal. Gilbert était amateur de chasse, pêche, la trappe, le cyclisme, la marche et jouer de la guitare. Il était très charitable avec son temps et ses talents pour aider les autres.

Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Pauline; ses enfants : Debbie Doucet et Donald de Kapuskasing; deux petits-enfants : Joël et Eric; trois arrière-petits-enfants : Echa, Avery et Willow; ainsi que ses frères et sœurs : Yvonne Frenette (feu Célestin), Sr. Émélie Doucet, Noëlla Pelletier (Jacques), Lucie Hachey, Denis (Armande) de Robertville, N.B., Marie Charpentier (Ulric), Irène Credger (Ernie) de Moonbeam et Clovis de Bathurst. Il fut prédécédé par ses frères et une sœur : Edgar, Réal, Clifford et Jeannette Pitre.

La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le samedi 3 octobre en l'église Notre-Dame-des-Victoires à 15h00 avec le Père Sébastien Groleau comme célébrant. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à la Fondation de l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner. ©

Le nombre maximum permis à l’église Notre-Dame-des-Victoires est 100 personnes et aucun rassemblement n’est permis à l’extérieur. Au cimetière, nous sommes limités à 25 personnes. Toute personne présente doit porter un masque approprié ou autre couvre-visage qui convient en tout temps.

Nous n’acceptons pas de dons ni demandes de messes. On peut faire des dons à la Fondation de l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner sur notre site Web ou en expédiant un chèque directement à la charité.

Toute personne doit observer les conseils sur la santé et la sécurité des autorités compétentes, y compris la distanciation physique de deux mètres pour les gens qui ne font pas partie d’un même ménage ou de leur cercle social établi de 10 personnes.

We regret to announce the death of Gilbert Doucet at the age of 85, on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Sensenbrenner Hospital. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a Montreal Canadiens fan. Gilbert enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, cycling, walking and playing guitar. He was very generous with his time and talents to help anyone who required assistance.

He is survived by his wife Pauline; his children: Debbie Doucet and Donald of Kapuskasing; two grandsons: Joël and Eric; three great-grandchildren: Echa, Avery and Willow; as well as his siblings: Yvonne Frenette (late Célestin), Sr. Émélie Doucet, Noëlla Pelletier (Jacques), Lucie Hachey, Denis (Armande) of Robertville, N.B., Marie Charpentier (Ulric), Irène Credger (Ernie) of Moonbeam and Clovis of Bathurst. He was predeceased by his siblings: Edgar, Réal, Clifford and Jeannette Pitre.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd at Notre-Dame-des-Victoires church at 3:00 p.m. with Father Sébastien Groleau officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Sensenbrenner Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. ©

All persons wishing to attend the funeral at the church must register their attendance with the funeral home, in advance. You may do so by using the online RSVP feature below, or by sending an email to staffgfh@outlook.com. Otherwise, you may call the funeral home during our regular business hours only, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The maximum number of people allowed at the Notre-Dame-des-Victoires church is 100, and no gathering is permitted outside. At the cemetery, we are limited to 25 participants. Every person present must wear a suitable mask or other appropriate face covering at all times.

No memorial donations or mass cards will be accepted. Please mail all donations directly to the Sensenbrenner Hospital Foundation or make an online donation through our website.

Everyone must follow proper health and safety advice, including physical distancing of two metres for people who are not from the same household or their established 10-person social circle.

We sincerely thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time.

My favorite uncle, him and aunt Pauline spoiled me. Outings to their cabine on Ouellette Bay, boat ride on Remi Lake with the Gosselin family. Furthermore a trip to Robertville and Bathurst, New Brunswick. Wonderful memories.
