Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Gilberte Marchand le jeudi 27 décembre à l'Hôpital de Smooth Rock Falls à l'âge de 82 ans. Elle aimait faire la lecture, des casse tête et les mots-croisés. Elle laisse dans le deuil sa fille Ginette Guindon, deux soeurs, Georgette Albert, Elaine Daigle, trois frères, Waleston Labonté, Gérard Labonté et Paul Labonté de Strickland, ainsi que trois petits-enfants, Stéfanie, Mélodie et Coralie et trois arrière-petits-enfants. Elle fut prédécédée par son époux Florent. Gilberte Marchand reposera à la salle paroissiale Ste-Gertrude le vendredi 4 janvier à 10h00 suivi par la célébration eucharistique à 11h00 avec le Père Jean Morin comme célébrant. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à l’Hôpital de Smooth Rock Falls, la Fondation des maladies du cœur ou INCA. ©

We regret to announce the death of Gilberte Marchand on Thursday, December 27, at the Smooth Rock Falls Hospital at the age of 82. She enjoyed reading, solving jigsaw puzzles and crosswords. She is survived by her daughter Ginette Guindon, her siblings, Georgette Albert, Elaine Daigle, Waleston Labonté, Gérard Labonté and Paul Labonté, as well as three granddaughters, Stéfanie, Mélodie and Coralie and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Florent. Gilberte Marchand will be resting at the Sainte-Gertrude parish hall on Friday, January 4 beginning at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jean Morin officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Smooth Rock Falls Hospital or the CNIB would be greatly appreciated. ©
