Message to the Family: You left us way too fast Gilles...As I am sitting here trying to light this candle for you my son, I feel a warmth around me. It is like you are near me and I can close my eyes and imagine you sitting beside me at Ernie's computer like you would do when you wanted to chat with me. I treasure the memories of you throughout the years but more so the last 4 years that you have been living with us. Those have been extra special and I will never forget them. There were sad moments when you would take ill and land in the hospital but there were more happy than sad moments. Those moments are locked inside my heart forever. As long as I have those memories we will never be apart. Even though we cannot speak anymore I know that you will be watching over us from Heaven where you have gone to rejoin your dad and grandfather and our aunts and cousins who have passed away these last couple of years. You are probably making them laugh in Heaven telling them the jokes you used to tell us....Most of all I know that you will watch over Achanté, to guide her as she is growing into a wonderful young lady and give her the strength to accept your departure from this earth.
