We regret to announce the death of Henri Grenier Jr. on Monday, July 11, 2011 at the Timmins & District Hospital at the age of 83. He enjoyed fishing, reading and watching television, but his greatest joy was entertaining and cooking for his family. In his kitchen he even had a special drawer for the little ones with all kinds of treats. He is survived by four daughters, Lizette McGee wife of Glen of Terrace Bay, Mireille Legault wife of Charles of Smooth Rock Falls, Claire Grenier of Hearst and Lina Evans-Davies wife of Al of St Albert, Alberta, four sisters, Georgette Gosselin, Aline Bourque all of Smooth Rock Falls, Claudette Arsenault of Chilliwack and Rachel Robichaud of Kapuskasing, as well as nine grandchildren, Kelly-Ann, Darren, Milissa, Benjamin, Brittany, Jackson, Kaitlyn, René and Lou-Ann, seven great grandchildren, Abigail, Tiara, Bellanna, Brielle, Olivia, Audrey and Maé. He was predeceased by his wife, Rita, three brothers, Maurice, Émile and Roland. Henri Grenier Jr. will be resting at the Saint Gertrude parish hall in Smooth Rock Falls on Thursday, July 14 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 15th at the Saint Gertrude church at 11:00 a.m. with Father Richard Fortin officiating. Burial to follow at the Smooth Rock Falls cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Smooth Rock Falls Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
