Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Henri Pitre le mercredi 31 mai 2017 à l’Extendicare Kapuskasing à l'âge de 84 ans. Henri était un grand amateur de la chasse et de la pêche. Comme passe-temps, il aimait aussi jardiner, et dans ses dernières années, regarder la télévision, surtout les westerns avec John Wayne et Clint Eastwood. Henri a travaillé à la Spruce Falls pendant 38 ans.

Il laisse dans le deuil cinq enfants: Roger époux de Linda de Marathon, Nancy Turgeon épouse de Jacques de Wawa, Rita Lachance épouse de Roger, Lorraine Aubertin épouse de Roger tous de Harty et Denise Leybourne épouse de Norm de Kapuskasing; deux soeurs: Dorina Drisdelle et Léona Comeau tous de Beresford, N.B.; ainsi que treize petits-enfants: Dennis, Steve, Carole, Daniel, Amy, Michel, Cindy, Neil, Eric, Jesse, Jamie, Renée, et Alain; et quinze arrière-petits-enfants: Kyle, Owen, Jacob, Nicola, Sydney, Paige, Alyssa, Gabrielle, William, Whitney, Abigail, Olivia, Spencer, Cédric, et Alec. Il fut prédécédé par son épouse, Jeannette; un fils, Yvon; un petit-fils, Yvon Turgeon; un frère, Alphonse; un demi-frère; Benoit; et cinq demi-sœurs: Yvonne, Yvette, Lina, Stella et Thérèse.

Henri reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette mercredi de 14h à 16h et 19h à 21h. La Célébration Eucharistique aura lieu le jeudi 8 juin, en l'église Immaculée-Conception à 10h30 avec Père Gérald Chalifoux comme célébrant. L’inhumation des cendres suivra au Cimetière de Val-Rita. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons au Fonds de loisirs pour les résidents du foyer Extendicare Kapuskasing. ©



We regret to announce the death of Henri Pitre on May 31, 2017 at Extendicare Kapuskasing at the age of 84 years. Henri was an avid hunter and fisher. In his spare time, he also enjoyed gardening and in his later years, watching television, especially westerns with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. Henri worked for 38 years with Spruce Falls.

He will be greatly missed by his five children: Roger husband of Linda of Marathon, Nancy Turgeon wife of Jacques of Wawa, Rita Lachance wife of Roger, Lorraine Aubertin wife of Roger all of Harty and Denise Leybourne wife of Norm of Kapuskasing; two sisters: Dorina Drisdelle and Léona Comeau both of Beresford, N.B.; as well as thirteen grandchildren: Dennis, Steve, Carole, Daniel, Amy, Michel, Cindy, Neil, Eric, Jesse, Jamie, Renée, and Alain; and fifteen great-grandchildren: Kyle, Owen, Jacob, Nicola, Sydney, Paige, Alyssa, Gabrielle, William, Whitney, Abigail, Olivia, Spencer, Cédric, and Alec. He was predeceased by his wife, Jeannette; one son, Yvon; one grandson, Yvon Turgeon; one brother, Alphonse; one half-brother, Benoit; and five half-sisters: Yvonne, Yvette, Lina, Stella and Thérèse.

Henri will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 8th at Immaculée-Conception church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Gérald Chalifoux officiating. Interment will follow at the Val-Rita Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Extendicare Kapuskasing Residents’ Fund would be greatly appreciated. ©
