Obituary for Jack Hickey

Jack Hickey
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jack Hickey on June 17, 2020 peacefully at home. Jack was born in Kapuskasing on September 3, 1934. He did many jobs over the years and retired from Spruce Falls where he worked at Chip and Loading. He was a proud Veteran. His love for the outdoors led him to being a member of the Rod and Gun Club for many years. Jack loved being at his hunt camp and cottage while spending time with family.

Jack was predeceased by his parents: Austin and Ida Hickey; his sisters: Florence Campbell and Evelyn Marshal; and his brother, Ray Hickey. He leaves behind his wife, Margaret (Poochie) and daughter, Lee Anne (Don Vermette); two grandchildren: Jesse (France) and Trista (Jesse Ross); two great-grandchildren: Avea and Jax Vermette; three brothers: Junior, George (Elsie) and Don (Claudette); one sister, Joan; as well as many nieces and nephews. He also had the pleasure of having Gail Marshal (Stowe) and Bruce Larstone spend time as part of his family.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kapuskasing Rod and Gun Club would be greatly appreciated. ©
