Nous regrettons d’annoncer le décès de Jean-Guy Marcoux, à l'âge de 78 ans, le samedi 27 mai 2023, à l’hôpital Horizon Santé Nord, Sudbury. Comme passe-temps, Jean-Guy aimait voyager et passer du temps en plein air, surtout faire de la pêche, la chasse, le camping, et faire des randonnées en VTT. Il était aussi un partisan passionné des Canadiens de Montréal et ne manquait jamais un match. Jean-Guy était un membre du 4e degré des Chevaliers de Colomb, ainsi qu'un membre du Club génération plus de Fauquier.
Jean-Guy manquera grandement à son épouse, Louisette Morin; ses enfants : Danniel (Allison) de Pickering et Mona Marcoux (Normand) de La Romaine, QC; ses beaux-enfants : Éric Morin (Josée) de Kapuskasing, et Nathalie Morin de Timmins; ses petits-enfants : Sydney (Aidan), Kaden, Jesse (Sarah), Randy (Nancy), Félicia, Christian, et Myla; et ses arrière-petits-enfants : Hunter, Liam, et Nate.
Jean-Guy fut prédécédé par sa première épouse, Lucie; deux sœurs : Clémence Bourgon et Raymonde Marcoux; et deux frères : Gaston et Maurice.
La Célébration eucharistique aura lieu le samedi 5 août 2023, à 10h00, en l'église Ste-Agnès, avec Père Gérald Chalifoux comme célébrant. La famille sera très reconnaissante de dons à la Fondation des enfants du corridor du Nord comme témoignages de sympathie. ©
We regret to announce the death of Jean-Guy Marcoux, at the age of 78 years, on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Health Sciences North in Sudbury. In his spare time, Jean-Guy enjoyed travelling and spending time outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, camping, and going for ATV rides. He was also a passionate supporter of the Montréal Canadiens and never missed a game. Jean-Guy was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Club génération plus in Fauquier.
Jean-Guy will be greatly missed by his wife, Louisette Morin; his children: Danniel (Allison) of Pickering and Mona Marcoux (Normand) of La Romaine, QC; his step-children: Éric Morin (Josée) of Kapuskasing, and Nathalie Morin of Timmins; his grandchildren: Sydney (Aidan), Kaden, Jesse (Sarah), Randy (Nancy), Félicia, Christian, and Myla; and his great-grandchildren: Hunter, Liam, and Nate.
Jean-Guy was predeceased by his first wife, Lucie; two sisters: Clémence Bourgon and Raymonde Marcoux; and two brothers: Gaston and Maurice.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at Ste-Agnès Church, with Father Gérald Chalifoux officiating. The family would greatly appreciate donations to the Northern Corridor Children’s Fund as expressions of sympathy. ©
