Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Jean-Yves Lapierre le vendredi 8 novembre 2019 à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner à l'âge de 83 ans. Jean-Yves était amateur de chasse et de pêche, et il aimait taquiner sa famille et ses amis. Il fut bénévole pendant de nombreuses années pour le tournoi de hockey Northern Lights PeeWee. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Lola; ses enfants : Marc Lapierre (Lise) de Rockland, Louis Lapierre (Ginette) d’Akron, Ohio, Natalie Kelly (Dan) de Stittsville, Sandra Foglia (Angelo) de Thunder Bay, Terry Sinai de Kapuskasing et Laurie Sinai-Green (Christopher) d’Ottawa et; son frère : Michel Lapierre de Kapuskasing ainsi que huit petits-enfants : Ryan, Annik, Louis-Mathieu, Christian, Brianna, Sean, Eric et Carson; deux arrière-petits-enfants : Léo et Lily; sans oublier ses compagnons : Bella, Smokey, Gypsy et Morrigan. Il fut prédécédé par un frère, Fernand Lapierre et une sœur, Claire Papineau. La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le mercredi 13 novembre en l'église St. Patrick à 10h30 avec le Père Sébastien Groleau comme célébrant. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à Refuge d’Animaux de Kapuskasing ou la Fondation des maladies du cœur. ©

We regret to announce the death of Jean-Yves Lapierre on Friday, November 8, 2019 at Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 83 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and teasing family and friends. In his earlier years he was a volunteer for the Northern Lights PeeWee hockey tournament for many years. He is survived by his wife: Lola; his children: Marc Lapierre (Lise) of Rockland, Louis Lapierre (Ginette) of Akron, Ohio, Natalie Kelly (Dan) of Stittsville, Sandra Foglia (Angelo) of Thunder Bay, Terry Sinai of Kapuskasing and Laurie Sinai-Green (Christopher) of Ottawa and; his brother, Michel Lapierre of Kapuskasing; as well as eight grandchildren, Ryan, Annik, Louis-Mathieu, Christian, Brianna, Sean, Eric and Carson; two great-grandchildren, Léo and Lily; without forgetting his four legged companions, Bella, Smokey, Gypsy and Morrigan. He was predeceased by his siblings, Fernand Lapierre and Claire Papineau. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 13th at St. Patrick's church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Sébastien Groleau officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Animal Rescue of Kapuskasing or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. ©
