Obituary for Joan Coppard

It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan Coppard on May 2, 2013.
Beloved mother to Dean (Ghislaine), Debby (Harold), Dale (Paula), Daryll (Pen) and Monica.
Joan is survived by her sister Audrey, as well as many grandchildren, great-grand children, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Olga and Tom Coppard and her two beautiful sisters Jean Beadow Levchak and Marion Lavigne.
Joan was born and raised in Kapuskasing. She formed many wonderful friendships during her time in Kap, some of which she maintained till this day. She was a tender heart who was always ready to lend a hand, whether it be food or clothing or simply words of comfort and encouragement to those less fortunate than herself. If you had met Joan, you would not have forgotten her. Her laugh and smile could brighten the
most dreary of days. Joan's love of traveling took her to Mexico City, where shed lived for a time. She had the opportunity to visit Thailand, the Netherlands and Azerbaijan. This in itself was proof of her free spirit and love for life in general.
Joan, you have embarked now on this last great journey. We will miss you more than you will know.
May your grace and inner beauty shine as brightly there as it has here. We love you Mom.
Special thanks to Dr. Ng-A-Fook,Dr. Boucher, Dr. Milner and the nursing staff of Sensenbrenner Hospital for the care given to Joan.
A celebration of Joan's life will be held at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in her name would be greatly appreciated.
