We regret to announce the death of Joan Johanna Elliott Séguin on June 25, 2013 at the age of 80 years. She was a member of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary, who in her spare time enjoyed gardening and camping. She was very fond of animals, especially dogs. She is survived by her husband, Marcel; four daughters: Judy Broadbent wife of Brian of Montreal, Debbie Stenabaugh wife of Lorne of Kapuskasing, Donna Santerre wife of Louis of Petawawa and Sandra Bouchard wife of André of Kapuskasing; ten grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, Mara; as well as one brother, Gerry Hendriks of Quebec. She was predeceased by her first husband, Newsie Elliott; one son, Barry Elliott; and two sisters: Jeannette Dee and Shirley St-Louis.

Joan Séguin will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 29 at 10:00 a.m. at St-Patrick's church with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. Burial will follow at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Animal Rescue of Kapuskasing, the Kapuskasing Food Bank or the Parkinson Society would be greatly appreciated. ©

Elle adorait les animaux, surtout les chiens. Elle fut prédécédée par son premier époux, Newsie Elliott; un fils, Barry Elliott; et deux soeurs: Jeannette Dee et Shirley St-Louis.

Joan Séguin reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette vendredi de 19h à 21h. La Célébration Eucharistique aura lieu le samedi 29 juin à 10h00 en l'église St-Patrick avec Père Hervé Sauvé comme célébrant. L'inhumation suivra au Cimetière de Kapuskasing. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à Animal Rescue of Kapuskasing, la Banque alimentaire de Kapuskasing ou la Société Parkinson. ©
