Obituary for John Granum

John Granum
We regret to announce the death of John Granum on December 27, 2019 at the Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 76 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. John had two passions in life: the Royal Canadian Legion and the Air Cadets. He enjoyed volunteering his time for both organisations and as a result was a life member of the Legion and was a commanding officer for several years with the Air Cadets.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Gloria; his children: Allen (Kelly) of Ottawa, and Mike (Gina) of Kapuskasing; his five grandchildren: Charlotte, Hillary, Claire, Grace, and Gavin; as well as one sister: Lela Willmets of Manitoulin Island. He was predeceased by his parents, Gustav and Margaret; and one sister, Reta Coghill.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 85 (please mail cheques to 4 Government Road, Kapuskasing, ON P5N 2W3) would be greatly appreciated. ©
