We regret to announce the death of Lauréat Veilleux on Monday, April 23 at the Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 79. He was a member of Laforge and enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his children Marcel of Kapuskasing and Sylvain (Maryse) of Casselman, one brother, Gaëtan (Carmelle) of Kitigan, nine sisters, Diane Robert (Jean-Guy), Hélène Robert (Roger) of Moonbeam, Reine Poulin, Mireille Gervais (Gilles), Gisèle Boyer, Yollande Robitaille (Jacques), Pauline Cloutier (Émilien) of Kapuskasing, Liliane Charpentier of Timmins and Suzanne Ouimette of Ottawa, as well as two grandchildren, Maxime and Elishia. He was predeceased by his wife Pauline, his parents, Marie-Anna and Alfred Veilleux, one brother, Rhéal Veilleux. Lauréat Veilleux will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Thursday, April 26 from 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 27 at the Guenette Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. Cremation to follow at the Hillcrest Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. ©
