Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Laurent Plante le dimanche 18 octobre 2015 à l'Hôpital Sensenbrenner à Kapuskasing à l'âge de 92 ans. Laurent était membre du 4e degré des Chevaliers de Colomb et était vétéran de la 2e Guerre Mondiale. Comme passe-temps, il aimait la pêche, lire, rencontrer des histoires, et surtout être avec sa famille.
Il a appartenu le magasin de chasse et de pêche, L.J. Plante Sales, pendant plusieurs années. Il laisse dans le deuil son fils, Laurent Jr. d'Ottawa; ses filles: Cécile Laboucane épouse de Danny de Valemont, CB, Laurette Plante épouse de Ron Carlson de Glace Bay, NS, Suzanne Plante de Kapuskasing, et Tracy Jacques épouse de J.C. de Hearst; une soeur: Florence Hotte de Pembroke; deux frères: Rhéal Plante de Charlesbourg, PQ et Aimé Plante de New Liskeard; huit petits-enfants: Bob, Donald époux de Manon, Lynn épouse de Jeff, Roxanne, Kurtis, Kayla, Kyrah, et Janelle; trois arrière-petits-enfants: Kristoffer, Alex, et Oshyne; ainsi que son chat adoré, Tommy Cat. Il fut prédécédé par son épouse, Bonnie; une fille, Louise Levesque et son époux, Jess; un petits-fils: Marco; ses parents: Damase et Aurore Plante; un frère, Conrad; et un beau-frère: Lorenzo Hotte.
Laurent Plante reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette mercredi de 14h à 16 h et 19h à 21h. La Célébration Eucharistique aura lieu le jeudi 22 octobre, en l'église Immaculée-Conception à 10h30 avec Père Gérald Chalifoux comme célébrant. L'inhumation suivra au Cimetière de Kapuskasing. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à une oeuvre de bienfaisance de votre choix. ©

We regret to announce the death of Laurent Plante on October 18, 2015 at Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 92 years. Laurent was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus as well as a veteran of the Second World War. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, reading, telling story and especially being with his family. Laurent was well known as a local business man and owned L.J. Plante Sales, a hunting and fishing store.
He will be greatly missed by his son, Laurent Jr. of Ottawa; his daughters: Cécile Laboucane wife of Danny of Valemont, BC, Laurette Plante wife of Ron Carlson of Glace Bay, NS, Suzanne Plante of Kapuskasing, and Tracy Jacques wife of J.C. of Hearst; one sister: Florence Hotte of Pembroke; two brothers: Rhéal Plante of Charlesbourg, QC and Aimé Plante of New Liskeard; eight grandchildren: Bob, Donald husband of Manon, Lynn wife of Jeff, Roxanne, Kurtis, Kayla, Kyrah, and Janelle; three great-grandchildren: Kristoffer, Alex, and Oshyne; as well as by his adored cat, Tommy Cat. He was predeceased by his wife, Bonnie; one daughter, Louise Levesque and her husband, Jess; one grandson, Marco; his parents: Damase and Aurore Plante; one brother, Conrad; and one brother-in-law: Lorenzo Hotte. Laurent Plante will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd at Immaculée-Conception church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Gérald Chalifoux officiating. Burial will follow at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. ©
