Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Laurette Doucet à l’âge de 97 ans, le mercredi 2 mars 2022, au Manoir North Centennial. Laurette était une mère de famille qui trouvait grande joie à être entourée de ses enfants, petits-enfants, et arrière-petits-enfants, et d’en prendre soin. Elle aimait tricoter, fabriquer des vêtements pour elle-même et ses enfants, jouer aux cartes, et résoudre des casse-tête. Laurette aimait également faire du bénévolat et était pionnière dans le programme Vieillir chez soi pour les ainés.
Laurette manquera grandement à ses enfants : Raymond (Diane) de Kapuskasing, Jeannine Lefebvre (Richard) de North Bay, Léo (Bernadette) de North Bay, Jean-Noël (Sue) de Orillia, Pierre (Patricia) de Cochrane, Normande Bourgeois (Rhéo) de Kapuskasing, et Marie Doucet (Joe DeSimone) de Pickering; ainsi que 19 petits-enfants, 37 arrière-petits-enfants, et 3 arrière-arrière-petits-enfants. Elle laisse aussi dans le deuil ses soeurs: Gracia Robins, Jeannine Beausejour, et Noella Watson. Elle fut prédécédée par son époux et père de ses enfants, Maurice Doucet; son conjoint, Aurel Fortier; et trois fils : Normand, Robert, and Patrick.
Laurette reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette le samedi 5 mars 2022 à partir de 10h00. Le service funéraire suivra à 11h00 avec la Pasteure Rose-Aimée Bordeleau comme célébrante. La crémation a eu lieu au Crématoire Guenette. La famille sera très reconnaissante de dons au Manoir North Centennial comme témoignage de sympathie. ©
We regret to announce the passing of Laurette Doucet at the age of 97 years, on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at North Centennial Manor. Laurette was a stay at home mom who took great joy in being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and taking care of them. She enjoyed knitting, sewing clothing for herself and her family, playing cards, and solving jigsaw puzzles. Laurette enjoyed volunteering and was a pioneer in assisting with the Aging at Home program for seniors.
She will be greatly missed by her children: Raymond (Diane) of Kapuskasing, Jeannine Lefebvre (Richard) of North Bay, Léo (Bernadette) of North Bay, Jean-Noël (Sue) of Orillia, Pierre (Patricia) of Cochrane, Normande Bourgeois (Rhéo) of Kapuskasing, and Marie Doucet (Joe DeSimone) of Pickering; as well as 19 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also leaves to mourn her lovely sisters: Gracia Robins, Jeannine Beausejour, and Noella Watson. She was predeceased by her husband and father of her children, Maurice Doucet; her partner, Aurel Fortier; and three sons, Normand, Robert, and Patrick.
Laurette's remains will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Saturday, March 5, 2022, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rose-Aimée Bordeleau officiating. Cremation has taken place at the Guenette Crematorium. The family would greatly appreciate donations to the North Centennial Manor as expressions of sympathy. ©
