Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Léon Villeneuve le vendredi 30 août 2013 au Manoir North Centennial à l'âge de 92 ans. Il aimait passer ses étés au lac, jouer du violon, aux quilles et aux cartes. Il laisse dans le deuil sept enfants, Jeannine Gaulin épouse de Marc-André, Lucille Wilson épouse de Gord, Diane Johnson épouse de Robert et Joanne Desjardins épouse de Jean-Marc de Kapuskasing, Lise Leblanc épouse de Raymond de Moonbeam, Denise Argent épouse de Rick de Windsor et Guy époux de Lynda de Barrie, deux sœurs, Irène Lalande de Penticton et Thérèse Lefebvre de Kapuskasing, ainsi que vingt deux petits-enfants et trente huit arrière-petits-enfants. Il fut prédécédé par son épouse Azella, quatre sœurs, Cécile Jobin, Aline Boudreau, Alice Desilets et Claire Urquhart. Léon Villeneuve reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette le dimanche 1er septembre de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h. La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le lundi 2 septembre en l'église Notre-Dame-des-Victoires à 10h30 avec le Père Hervé Sauvé comme célébrant. L'inhumation suivra au cimetière de Kapuskasing. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons au Manoir North Centennial ou la Société d’Alzheimer. ©

We regret to announce the death of Léon Villeneuve on Friday, August 30, 2013 at the North Centennial Manor at the age of 92. He enjoyed spending his summers at the lake, playing the violin, bowling and playing cards. He is survived by seven children, Jeannine Gaulin (Marc-André), Lucille Wilson (Gord), Diane Johnson (Robert) and Joanne Desjardins (Jean-Marc) of Kapuskasing, Lise Leblanc (Raymond) of Moonbeam, Denise Argent (Rick) of Windsor and Guy (Lynda) of Barrie, two sisters, Irène Lalande of Penticton and Thérèse Lefebvre of Kapuskasing, as well as twenty two grandchildren and thirty eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Azella, four sisters, Cécile Jobin, Aline Boudreau, Alice Desilets and Claire Urquhart. Léon Villeneuve will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 2nd at the Notre-Dame-des-Victoires church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. Burial to follow at the Kapuskasing cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society or the North Centennial Manor would be greatly appreciated.
