Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Louise Guertin le jeudi 27 février 2014 à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner à l'âge de 59 ans. Elle fut employée pendant 25 ans à la Clinique Juridique Grand-Nord ou elle a plaidé avec passion la cause des gens défavorisés. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses six enfants, Jason Ormandy (Stéphanie) de Fauquier, Kevin Ormandy (Natalie), Lori-Ann Duguay (Eric), Eric Roy (Manon) de Kapuskasing, Shawn Roy (Amanda) de Timmins et Julie Chayer (Jean-Marc) de Sudbury, trois frères, Gerry Guertin (Denise), André "Nipper" Guertin (Carole) et Denis Guertin (Nicole) de Kapuskasing, une soeur, Suzanne Culverhouse (Jim) de Timmins, neuf petits-enfants, Zachary, Gabrielle, Zoé, Allysha, Kloé, Emanuelle, Kirsten, Neeva et Chenel, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Elle fut prédécédée par ses parents, Denise et Hervé Guertin, un frère, Pierre Guertin. La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le samedi 1 mars en l'église Immaculée-Conception à 13h30 avec le Père Gilles Gosselin comme célébrant. La famille accueillera parents et amis à La Forge à partir de 15h00 pour une célébration de sa vie, où tous sont bienvenus. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons au Centre Connexion. ©

We regret to announce the death of Louise Guertin on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 59. She was employed at the Grand Nord Legal Clinic for 25 years where she had developed a passion as an advocate for those in need. She is survived by her six children, Jason Ormandy (Stéphanie) of Fauquier, Kevin Ormandy (Natalie), Lori-Ann Duguay (Eric), Eric Roy (Manon) of Kapuskasing, Shawn Roy (Amanda) of Timmins and Julie Chayer (Jean-Marc) of Sudbury, four siblings, Gerry Guertin (Denise), André "Nipper" Guertin (Carole), Denis Guertin (Nicole) of Kapuskasing and Suzanne Culverhouse (Jim) of Timmins, nine grandchildren, Zachary, Gabrielle, Zoé, Allysha, Kloé, Emanuelle, Kirsten, Neeva and Chenel, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Denise and Hervé Guertin, one brother, Pierre Guertin. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st at the Immaculée-Conception church at 1:30 p.m. with Father Gilles Gosselin officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather at La Forge following the funeral service for a Celebration of Louise’s Life. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Connexion Centre would be greatly appreciated. ©
