Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Marie-Anne Bernard le jeudi 1 août 2013 à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner à Kapuskasing à l'âge de 79 ans. Elle fut résidente de Smooth Rock Falls pendant 48 ans avant de déménager à Val-Rita pour les sept dernières années. Pendant ses années à Smooth Rock Falls, elle fut membre de la chorale et l’UCFO. Elle laisse dans le deuil quatre enfants, Marie-Louis époux de Kathleen de Smooth Rock Falls, Aline Tremblay épouse de François de Val-Rita, Raymond époux de Louise de Terrace Bay et Mario époux de Lynda de Hanmer, cinq frères, Claude Lamontagne, François Lamontagne, Albert Lamontagne et Gérard Lamontagne de Montréal, Raymond Lamontagne de Hull, cinq sœurs, Yvette Filiatrault de La Sarre, Julianne Viel de Hearst, Marie-Claire Lamontagne de Rouyn-Noranda , Pauline Lemoine de Macamic et Madeleine Turcotte de Montréal, ainsi que huit petits-enfants, Shawn, Mathew, Francis, Maxime, Chantal, Nicole, Crystal et Holly. Elle fut prédécédée par son époux, Gérard et cinq sœurs, Marie-Blanche Depont, Marguerite Lemieux, Jeanne Rochette, Marthe Leblanc et Sœur Thérèse Lamontagne. Marie-Anne Bernard reposera à la salle paroissiale Ste-Gertrude dimanche de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h. La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le lundi 5 août, en l'église Ste-Gertrude à 10h30 avec le Père Fernand Villeneuve comme célébrant. L'inhumation suivra au cimetière de Smooth Rock Falls. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à la Société Alzheimer. ©

We regret to announce the death of Marie-Anne Bernard on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Sensenbrenner Hospital in Kapuskasing at the age of 79. She was a resident of Smooth Rock Fall for 48 years prior to moving to Val-Rita for the past 7 years. While residing in Smooth Rock Falls she was a member of the church choir and the UCFO. She is survived by four children, Marie-Louis husband of Kathleen of Smooth Rock Falls, Aline Tremblay wife of François of Val-Rita, Raymond husband of Louise of Terrace Bay and Mario husband of Lynda of Hanmer, five brothers, Claude Lamontagne, François Lamontagne, Albert Lamontagne and Gérard Lamontagne of Montréal, Raymond Lamontagne of Hull, five sisters, Yvette Filiatrault of La Sarre, Julianne Viel of Hearst, Marie-Claire Lamontagne of Rouyn-Noranda, Pauline Lemoine of Macamic and Madeleine Turcotte of Montréal, as well as eight grandchildren, Shawn, Mathew, Francis, Maxime, Chantal, Nicole, Crystal and Holly. She was predeceased by her husband, Gérard and five sisters, Marie-Blanche Depont, Marguerite Lemieux, Jeanne Rochette, Marthe Leblanc and Sister Thérèse Lamontagne. Marie-Anne Bernard will be resting at the Saint-Gertrude parish hall in Smooth Rock Falls on Sunday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 5th at Saint-Gertrude church at 10:30 a.m. with Father Fernand Villeneuve officiating. Burial to follow at the Smooth Rock Falls cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated. ©
