It is with great sadness we announce the death of Marie Claire Després on November 28, 2015 at Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 69 years. In her spare time, Marie Claire enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, and reading, however, her favourite pastime was to spend time with her grandchildren. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella.

She is survived by her children: Pat Mercier husband of Cathy of North Bay, Brian Mercier husband of Claudia of Paris, and Amanda Grasley wife of Garfield of Val Rita; six grandchildren: Victoria, Zakaria, Jerramia, Brian Jr., Leah, and Ciara; as well as eight siblings: Rachel, Denise, Gisèle, Dolores, Denis, Suzanne, Réjeanne, and Christiane. She was predeceased by her parents, Bernardin and Liliane Després, and one brother, Roger. A memorial service will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.

The family would like to extend a big thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Sensenbrenner Hospital Active Care and Intensive Care Units for the care our mother received during her sickness. Your compassion will not be forgotten. ©


Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Marie Claire Després le samedi 28 novembre 2015 à l'Hôpital Sensenbrenner à l'âge de 69 ans. Comme passe-temps, Marie Claire aimait jouer au bingo, jardiner, lire, mais surtout passer du temps avec ses petits-enfants. Elle était aussi membre des Filles d'Isabelle.

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Pat Mercier époux de Cathy de North Bay, Brian Mercier époux de Claudia Paris, et Amanda Grasley épouse de Garfield de Val Rita; six petits-enfants: Victoria, Zakaria, Jerramia, Brian Jr., Leah, and Ciara; ainsi qu’un frère et huit soeurs: Rachel, Denise, Gisèle, Dolores, Denis, Suzanne, Réjeanne, et Christiane. Elle fut prédécédée par ses parents, Bernardin et Liliane Depres, et un frère, Roger. Un service commémoratif aura lieu à une date ultérieure. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à la Fondation des maladies du coeur ou l'Association pulmonaire.

La famille aimerait remercier les médecins, les infirmières et les employés des unités de soins actif et soins intensifs de l'Hôpital Sensenbrenner pour leur dévouement envers notre mère pendant sa maladie. Votre compassion ne sera pas oubliée. ©
