We regret to announce the death of Marie-Jeanne “Lucy” Gagnon on Tuesday, August 1, at Sensenbrenner Hospital in Kapuskasing at the age of 90. She may have been small in stature, but she was larger than life and full of surprises. She was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary for over 50 years. She enjoyed walking, cooking, family get togethers, picking berries and a true nature lover. She is survived by her children, Allan Van Lith (Pat), Daniel Van Lith of Kapuskasing and Rebecca McWhirter (Robert) of Corbeil, one brother, Fernand Routhier (Carmelle) of Kapuskasing, as well as four grandchildren, James, Derek, Eran and Pamela (Keith), eight great-grandchildren, Alisha, Brittany, Violet, Victoria, Lily, Sarah, Krystina and Kathleen. She was predeceased by her husband Laurent Gagnon, one son, Timothy Van Lith, her parents, Alice and Aimé Routhier, her siblings, Roland Routhier, Émile-Lucien Routhier, Éliane Allard and Rosaire Routhier. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 8th commencing at 9:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 85 would be greatly appreciated. ©
