We regret to announce the death of Mary Lurz on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 71. Mary was a dedicated teacher for over 35 years at St. Patrick's School. She was a member of the Catholic Women's League who enjoyed making stained glass, gardening, weaving, crocheting, knitting, reading, shopping and had a love for animals. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Lurz (Doug Brodie) of North Bay and Monika Lurz (Michael Coo) of Toronto, three sisters, Michelina Rozon of Kitchener, Victoria Leclair (Ron) of Belleville, Sophie Campbell (late Paul) of Baltimore, ON, numerous nieces and nephews as well as her grandchildren of the furry variety. She was predeceased by her husband Karl, her parents, Sonia and Gregory Szkutowicz. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 20th at St. Patrick's church at 2:00 p.m. with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Sensenbrenner Hospital Hospice Suite or Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. ©

Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Mary Lurz le mercredi 15 août 2018 à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner à l'âge de 71 ans. Mary fut une enseignante dévouée pendant plus de 35 ans à l’école St. Patrick. Elle fut membre de la Catholic Women's League. Elle aimait fabriquer des vitraux, tisser, crocheter, tricoter, la lecture, le jardinage, le magasinage et les animaux. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses filles, Lisa Lurz (Doug Brodie) de North Bay et Monika Lurz (Michael Coo) de Toronto, trois soeurs, Michelina Rozon de Kitchener, Victoria Leclair (Ron) de Belleville et Sophie Campbell (feu Paul) de Baltimore, ON, plusieurs neveux et nièces, ainsi que ses petits-enfants du genre poilu. Elle fut prédécédée par son époux Karl, ses parents, Sonia et Gregory Szkutowicz. La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le lundi 20 août en l'église St. Patrick à 14h00 avec le Père Hervé Sauvé comme célébrant. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner – Suite d’Hospice ou la Société canadienne du cancer. ©
