Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Patricia « Patsy » Séguin le vendredi 10 janvier 2014 à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner à l’âge de 50 ans après une lutte contre la SLA pendant seize ans. Elle laisse dans le deuil deux fils, Alexandre conjoint d’Andrew de Sudbury et Patrick ami d'Andréane de Kapuskasing, ses parents, Jacqueline et Paul Séguin de Kapuskasing, deux sœurs, Louise Génier épouse de Luc de Kapuskasing et Pauline Lauzon épouse de Kevin de Brooklin, sa grand-mère, Albina Larochelle de Kapuskasing, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Elle fut prédécédée par ses grands-parents, Rosalie et Eugène Menard, Mary Simon, Lucienne Seguin et Roland Séguin, une tante, Lucette Christianson, un oncle, David Séguin et une nièce, Vivienne Lauzon. Elle était artiste de peinture, aimait la couture et était très active dans le prélèvement de fonds pour la SLA. Une garde-malade énergétique, Patsy était passionée des soins et avancements médicaux. Patricia Séguin reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette le mercredi 15 janvier de 19h à 21h. La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le jeudi 16 janvier, en l'église St. Patrick à 15h00 avec le Père Gilles Gosselin comme célébrant. We regret to announce the death of Patricia “Patsy” Seguin on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 50 after a 16 year hard battle with ALS. She is survived by two sons, Alexandre companion of Andrew of Sudbury and Patrick companion of Andréane Gravel of Kapuskasing, her parents, Jacqueline and Paul Seguin of Kapuskasing, two sisters, Louise Génier wife of Luc of Kapuskasing and Pauline Lauzon wife of Kevin of Brooklin, her grandmother, Albina Larochelle of Kapuskasing, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Rosalie and Eugene Menard, Mary Simon, Lucienne Seguin and Roland Seguin, one aunt, Lucette Christianson, one uncle, David Seguin and a niece Vivienne Lauzon. A gifted painter, Patsy was also skilled at sewing and an active fundraiser for ALS. She was also an energetic nurse who was passionate about patient care and medical breakthroughs. Patricia Seguin will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7- 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 16th at St. Patrick's church at 3:00 p.m. with Father Gilles Gosselin officiating.
