We regret to announce the death of Patricia Staniek on October 25, 2017 at Sensenbrenner Hospital at the age of 74 years. Patricia was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force as well as the Army. She was involved with the Kapuskasing Figure Skating Club for many years and enjoyed volunteering for various organizations and events. In her spare time, she enjoyed weaving, quilting, knitting and crocheting.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Kurt; one son, Shane of Toronto; her siblings: Larry Leblanc of Toronto, and Dorothy Townson spouse of Mark Dixon of Alberta; two sisters-in-law: Ruth Leblanc of Toronto and Elsie Turcozc of Alberta; one nephew, Jason Townson; two nieces: Sherri-Lynn and Kennedy Leblanc; as well as her dear friend, Fern Campbell of Ottawa. She was predeceased by her parents: Edouard and Mabel Leblanc; one brother: David Leblanc; and one brother-in-law, Bob Townson. At her request, there will be no visitation, nor service. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Animal Rescue of Kapuskasing or the House of Kin would be greatly appreciated. ©



Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Patricia Staniek le 25 octobre 2017 à l’Hôpital Sensenbrenner à l’âge de 74 ans. Patricia était une membre de l’Aviation royale du Canada ainsi que l’armée. Elle était impliquée avec la Club de patinage artistique de Kapuskasing pendant plusieurs années et elle aimait faire du bénévolat avec plusieurs organisations et événements. Comme passe-temps, elle aimait faire du tissage, de la courtepointe, du tricotage et crocheter.

Elle laisse pour pleurer sa perte son époux, Kurt; un fils, Shane de Toronto; un frère, Larry Leblanc de Toronto; une sœur, Dorothy Townson épouse de Mark Dixon d’Alberta; deux belles-soeurs: Ruth Leblanc de Toronto et Elsie Turcozc d’Alberta; un neveu, Jason Townson; deux nièces, Sherri-Lynn et Kennedy Leblanc; ainsi que sa grande amie, Fern Campbell d’Ottawa. Elle fut prédécédée par ses parents: Edouard et Mabel Leblanc; un frère: David Leblanc; et un beau-frère, Bob Townson. Il n’aura pas de visites ni de service. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à Animal Rescue de Kapuskasing ou la Maison Kin. ©
