Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Pauline Dumais à l'âge de 97 ans, le dimanche 3 octobre 2021, au Manoir North Centennial. Elle laisse dans le deuil trois petits-enfants : Denise Agbo (Nona) de Californie, Suzanne Dumais (Steve Scheifele) de Colombie-Britannique, et Paul Dumais (Jennifer) de New Hamburg; six arrière-petits-enfants : Alexander (Bailey), Sarah, Nicholas, Brooke, Hayden, et Ijendu; un arrière-arrière-petit-fils, Ryker; deux sœurs : Sr Jacqueline Labelle de North Bay, et Marie Anderson de Woodstock; un frère, Marcel Labelle de Kapuskasing; une belle-sœur, Lise Labelle de Kapuskasing; une belle-fille, Ellen Dumais; ainsi que plusieurs beaux-frères, belles-sœurs, neveux et nièces. Elle fut prédécédée par son époux, Fernando; un fils, Denis; trois frères : Lucien, Jean-Marie et Bruno Labelle; et cinq sœurs : Madeleine Surprenant, Françoise Racette, Lucille Pépin; Rose Bovey, et Gabrielle Hanzelka
Tout au long de sa vie, Pauline fut une bénévole dévouée qui aimait donner son temps à sa communauté et à son église, ainsi qu’à des organismes tel le Centre de Loisirs; elle était membre également des Filles d’Isabelle, l’UCFO, et l’Auxiliaire du Manoir North Centennial. Comme passe-temps, Pauline aimait aider au bingo du Manoir, et faire de l’artisanat, surtout le tissage – elle a enseigné à plusieurs personnes dans la région l’art du tissage. Pauline était une femme pieuse avec une grande foi, et la famille était très importante pour elle. Elle était une épouse et mère dévouée qui aimait voyager et faire la chasse et la pêche avec son époux, et elle était une grand-mère et arrière-grand-mère très chaleureuse et bien-aimée.
Pauline Dumais reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette le mardi 5 octobre de 19h à 21h. La Célébration Eucharistique aura lieu le mercredi 6 octobre, à 11h00, en l'église Immaculée-Conception avec Père Sébastien Groleau comme célébrant. L'Inhumation suivra au Cimetière de Kapuskasing. La famille sera très reconnaissante des dons au Manoir North Centennial comme témoignage de sympathie. ©

Le nombre maximum permis à l’église Immaculée-Conception est 140 personnes et aucun rassemblement n’est permis à l’extérieur. Toute personne présente doit porter un masque approprié en tout temps. Toute personne doit se laver les mains à l'aide d'un désinfectant pour les mains.
Toute personne doit observer les conseils sur la santé et la sécurité des autorités compétentes, y compris la distanciation physique de deux mètres pour les gens qui ne font pas partie d’un même ménage ou de leur cercle social établi.

It is with sadness we announce the death of Pauline Dumais at the age of 97 years, on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at North Centennial Manor. She will be greatly missed by her three grandchildren: Denise Agbo (Nona) of California, Suzanne Dumais (Steve Scheifele) of British Columbia, and Paul Dumais (Jennifer) of New Hamburg; six great-grandchildren: Alexander (Bailey), Sarah, Nicholas, Brooke, Hayden, and Ijendu; one great-great-grandson, Ryker; two sisters: Sr. Jacqueline Labelle of North Bay, and Marie Anderson of Woodstock; one brother, Marcel Labelle of Kapuskasing; one sister-in-law, Lise Labelle of Kapuskasing; one daughter-in-law, Ellen Dumais; as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Fernando; one son, Denis; three brothers: Lucien, Jean-Marie and Bruno Labelle; and five sisters: Madeleine Surprenant, Françoise Racette, Lucille Pépin; Rose Bovey, and Gabrielle Hanzelka.
Pauline was a lifelong devoted volunteer who enjoyed giving her time for her community, her church, and for groups such as the Centre de Loisirs; she was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the UCFO, and the North Centennial Manor Auxiliary. In her spare time, Pauline enjoyed helping with bingo at the Manor, and crafting, especially weaving – she taught the art of weaving to many people in the area. She was a devout Christian with a strong faith, and family was very important for her. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed travelling and going hunting and fishing with her husband, and she was a beloved and caring grandmother and great-grandmother.
Pauline Dumais will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 5, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 6, at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculée-Conception church with Father Sébastien Groleau officiating. Burial will follow at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. The family would greatly appreciate donations to North Centennial Manor as expressions of sympathy. ©

All persons wishing to attend the funeral must register their attendance with the funeral home, in advance. You may do so by using the online RSVP feature below, or by sending an email to staffgfh@outlook.com . If you are unable, you may call the funeral home during our regular business hours only, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The maximum number of people allowed at the Immaculée-Conception church is 140, and no gathering is permitted outside. Every person present must wear a suitable mask at all times. Visitors must also clean their hands with hand sanitizer.
Everyone must follow proper health and safety advice, including physical distancing of two metres for people who are not from the same household or their established social circle.
