Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Raymond Albert le lundi 9 décembre 2019 à l’âge de 79 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Danielle, après 59 années de mariage. Il laisse aussi ses enfants : Donald (Louise), Doreen et Martine; ses petits-enfants : Benjamin (Imroze), Marie-Claude (Andrew), Alexandra (Phoenix), Marc-André (Marie Christine), Mathieu et Stéphanie (Mathieu Francoeur); ainsi que quatre arrière-petits-enfants : Lyla, Loic, Abby et Elliot. Il laisse également quatre sœurs : Cécile Barrette, Jeannine Lambert, Azéline Ratté, Carmen Poisson et un frère Ghislain. Il fut prédécédé par ses parents, Thérèse et Pierre Albert; cinq frères : Antoine, Constant, Marcel, Philippe et Benoit et trois sœurs : Claire Ouellette, Normande Blanchette et Thérèse Ratté.
Raymond a travaillé comme bûcheron jusqu’à sa retraite. Il a toujours eu une forte appréciation de la nature et du plein air. Il aimait tellement être avec la famille ou ses amis, que ce soit au chalet ou lors de bénévolat auprès de divers organismes dans sa communauté. Il adorait ses petits-enfants qui lui apportaient beaucoup de joie. Ses passe-temps étaient la motoneige, la chasse et la pêche, le jardinage et cuisiner. Il était aussi un grand amateur des Canadiens de Montréal. Il fut nommé membre honorable des Chevaliers de Colomb pour l’année 2019. Il est aussi membre du Club Génération Plus et des AA depuis plusieurs années.
La Célébration Eucharistique aura lieu le samedi 14 décembre à 10h30 en l’église Ste-Agnès de Fauquier avec le Père Gérald Chalifoux comme célébrant. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons faits à la Fondation des maladies du cœur ou à la Société canadienne du cancer.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 59 years, Danielle; his children: Donald (Louise), Doreen and Martine; his grandchildren: Benjamin (Imroze), Marie-Claude (Andrew), Alexandra (Phoenix), Marc-André (Marie Christine), Mathieu and Stéphanie (Mathieu Francoeur); four great grandchildren: Lyla, Loic, Abby and Elliot; as well as four sisters: Cécile Barrette, Jeannine Lambert, Azéline Ratté, Carmen Poisson; and one brother, Ghislain. He was predeceased by his parents, Thérèse and Pierre Albert; five brothers: Antoine, Constant, Marcel, Philippe and Benoit; and three sisters: Claire Ouellette, Normande Blanchette and Thérèse Ratté.
Raymond was a hard worker employed in forestry as a woodcutter until his retirement. He always had a great appreciation for being outside, enjoying nature and fresh air. He loved spending time with family and friends at the cottage or doing volunteer work in various organizations in his community. In his spare time, he enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, gardening and cooking. He adored spending time with his grandchildren and taking care of his family. He was a great fan of the Montreal Canadians. He was named honourable member of the Knights of Columbus for the year 2019. He was also a member of the Generation Plus Club and the AA for many years.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 14th at 10:30 a.m. at Ste-Agnès Church in Fauquier with Father Gérald Chalifoux officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
