Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Rita Gagnon Fortin le mardi 19 novembre 2019 au Foyer Extendicare Kapuskasing à l'âge de 92 ans. Elle fut prédécédée par ses deux époux : Benoit Gagnon et Arthur Fortin; ainsi que deux frères : Victorin et Fernand Plamondon; et une sœur, Geneviève Carrier. Elle laisse dans le deuil deux fils : Laurent Gagnon (feue Noreen) de Renfrew et Denis Gagnon Sr de Kapuskasing; deux petits-enfants : Denis Jr de Sault Ste. Marie et Jennifer de Chelmsford; cinq arrière-petits-enfants : Isabelle, Julie, Dylan, Tyler et Jessyka; une sœur, Fernande Boulay (feu Raymond); trois frères : Raymond (Desneiges), Gilles (Madelaine), et Paul Plamondon (Linda); ainsi que deux belles-sœurs : Marie-Paule et Marguerite Plamondon.

La famille aimerait remercier énormément le Foyer Extendicare Kapuskasing pour les soins donnés à notre mère.

Rita Gagnon Fortin reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette le vendredi 29 novembre de 19h à 21h et le samedi 30 novembre à partir de 9h00. Le service funéraire suivra à 11h00 dans la chapelle du salon funéraire avec Père Sébastien Groleau comme célébrant. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons à la Fondation des enfants du corridor du Nord ou le Fonds de loisirs des résidents du Foyer Extendicare. ©



We regret to announce the death of Rita Gagnon Fortin on November 19, 2019 at Extendicare Kapuskasing at the age of 92 years. She was predeceased by her two husbands: Benoit Gagnon and Arthur Fortin; as well as two brothers: Victorin and Fernand Plamondon; and one sister, Geneviève Carrier. She is survived by two sons: Laurent Gagnon (late Noreen) of Renfrew and Denis Gagnon Sr. of Kapuskasing; two grandchildren: Denis Jr. of Sault Ste. Marie and Jennifer of Chelmsford; five great-grandchildren: Isabelle, Julie, Dylan, Tyler and Jessyka; one sister, Fernande Boulay (late Raymond); three brothers: Raymond (Desneiges), Gilles (Madelaine), and Paul Plamondon (Linda); as well as two sisters-in-law: Marie-Paule and Marguerite Plamondon.

The family would like to send a big thank you to Extendicare Kapuskasing for the great care our mother received.

Rita Gagnon Fortin will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Friday, November 29th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, November 30th beginning at 9:00 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the funeral home with Father Sébastien Groleau officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Northern Corridor Children’s Fund or the Extendicare Kapuskasing Residents’ Fund would be greatly appreciated. ©
