Condolence: Jake and Aaron, my family’s thoughts and prayers are with each of you during this time. Bob was incredibly proud of the both of you. He loved to talk about the experiences and memories that you all made.

Rhonda, thank you for being Bob’s soul mate during the last years of his life. Bob cherished the quality time that the two of you spent together. He spoke highly of you in every regard. When my family met you, it felt as though we already knew you. Please know that we love and will always be here for you. You allowed Bob the ability to be himself, and continue to live only like “Bob could”.

Bob, Monique will forever appreciate the late night conversations you shared on your last visit to BC. She will not forget the advice you gave her, and will forever appreciate what you told her. (Our neighbours may still be salty for The Hip/Blue Rodeo being blasted until 5am)

Thank you for inspiring Alec to reach high in his music and introducing him to “The Hip”. You were a large influence in his life. He truly appreciates your encouragement, as well as the time you shared together. You were so good to both of my children. As their father, I am glad that they had the opportunity to get to know you and that you had an impact on their lives.

Finally, thank you so much for sharing your time with me. The trips with you were incredible. You helped me slow down, and reminded me to have fun. Your generosity will never be forgotten. As well, thanks for the frequent conversations on the phone over the past 10 years. You helped bring me out of many dark places, both personally and at work. We went through a lot together, and I know it was easier because we had each other to lean on.

Love your ‘brother’, cousin, and friend…
Wayne Dore

Condolence: My deepest sympathies to all who were touched by Bob's larger than life presence. I met Bob working together at the newspaper in Sarnia, and we became great friends. We shared many adventures, including white water rafting and camping in Algonquin Park. I am so saddened to hear of this loss, no words can express...

Condolence: My deepest condolences to Bob’s family & friends. I am very sad to hear of Bob’s passing. He was a childhood friend and it was always an adventure hanging out with him. From building log cabins on Mr. Armstrong’s property with friends to playing baseball with the gang. He will always be remembered as a fun and loving guy.

Condolence: Bob, I will miss your infectious laugh, the stories you told standing in the kitchen after a day of fishing, chicken hunting or snowmobiling over a glass of wine or a rusty nail and the many memories we created during our adventures. From the time you first took me to Kap quadding and jumping beaver dams in the boat during a day of fishing 22 years ago I was hooked on the outdoors. Our fly in fishing trip was a dream come true for me. I am forever grateful to have shared these experiences with you and will cherish the memories always. Until we meet again my friend....
